Was tightening the 4th and final screw and went to go and give it just that c*** hair of extra twist and snapped the head of the screw off. Thankfully it was the 4th screw and something that i guess i could live with. But im pissed because i don't know if there is anyway of backing that broken screw out of the socket so that i could get a 4th screw in. Very aggravated that the screws that i decided to go with seemed less of a quality then the screws that originally came with the optic. Have to give this a 4 star because of that. Now my optic has 75% of the structure mounting it to the mount. While im not carrying this into combat any day soon i will always think in the back of my mind if that optic is going to be secure. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love this thing. The machine work is excellent: no burrs, hard edges or tool marks. The coating is a nice, even, deep, non-reflective black. It has a unique mounting system that I now love. The clicks are positive and once mounted it does not shift as there are no throw levers or other devices to torque, oil or apply loc-rite to. I highly recommend this mount and brand over anything I currently have or owned in the past. This includes factory mounts, GG&G, LaRue, Midwest and Yankee Hill. I will be ordering more Scalarworks products to replace my current mounts; that is how impressed I am with this unit. It also is truly an absolute co-witness mount requiring no shift in cheek weld to use BUIS. I even zeroed the MRO mounted with this simply by lining the dot up with my irons. Very nice product! They have developed the future of optics mounting tech. Quick change throw levers are now a thing of the past. Really like the pillars that square the base to the rails as you tighten and loosen. The wheel locks solid 2 clicks after touching the rails, and feel more solid at that point then any of my other bases; and you can still effortlessly tighten it about 4-5 more click. Which would be way over tight, but it's sure nice knowing I could easily go tighter if I wanted too! Would recommend! It's so light weight, sleek, and we'll engineered; I will definitely be looking into these guys for any future optics mounting stuff I may need. ... show more

THIS is it. Scalerworks is worth the money. Having a $600 optic on a $200 mount baffles me. If you do not run your rifle hard, if you are careful with it, don't want it scratched, and/or like the distraction of co-witness with irons, keep moving and buy something less pricey. If you measure thorough cleaning intervals in thousands of rounds, tomahawk the rifle mag to slide into prone from a run, or run the butt of the weapon closer to your midline than most folks, this thing is the BOMB. ... show more

Quality is top of the line. Its so light and strong. Pretty sweet mount. I have the MRO and the RMR versions and I will get another if I decide to change my set up. It's cool, get it.

Really loved it! ...until it exploded maybe the 10th time I removed it. A tiny spring and ball bearing went flying off somewhere. Looks like the two retaining pins Backed out. Now it won’t align correctly without hammering the pins in each time I take it off or put it back on. Hoping it makes it through this weekend. For $150 color me unimpressed. I’ll be returning it. Pretty though Update: gluing the pins into the main body seemed to do the trick. Probably just defective but I’m keeping it. Upped it to 3 stars ... show more

i’ve been using the lower mount which came with the MRO for about a year and decided to spring for something better. I’ve never heard of the company but this is an excellent absolute-cowitness. The other cheaper option might work but this is worth the money!!!
