I bought 2 of these and have been riding just about everyday now for 3 months. I have had no issues or problems. I find the build quality to be exceptional and it does go over 30 mph. At around 65 lbs it is easy to lift and carry in and out of the water and in and out of my Ultimate SUV (I call minivans Ultimate SUVs and SUVs I call station wagons). I would make one recommdation to the builder and that is the metal gas cap is finely threaded and you must be very careful putting it onto the plastic threads on the gas tank.
