This desk is very attractive and well built. Assembly: I love putting flat-pack furniture together, however, this desk took about 3 solid hours and was a bit tricky. The end product is well built... Possibly over built. So it's worth the extra time. But do expect it to take a couple of hours. It only requires a screwdriver to build (but use a good one as your hand may get sore). Look: I purchased the Chalked Chestnut trestle desk. It is a lovely grey wood tone with whites and creams. The wood grain facade contains a bit of texture which makes it feel very authentic. The outwardly-facing pieces are covered so the desk looks like solid wood from all angles (except underneath). Product: the desk is smartly built. A lot of hidden cams and screws. All Phillipshead screws so no Allen wrenches! The drawers have adjustable glides so they are ensured to fit in their spaces and smoothly slide under the table top. The top is strong. When all the pieces were together, I was surprised every piece sat flush to the one it was picked next to - indicating good craftsmanship and engineering. Overall a very well designed desk that just takes a bit of time to build. In the pictures, its paired with a Kira Home York desktop lamp, 6495 Distressed Cream 5 x 7 Area Rug Carpet, and a Three Posts Eckhard task chair in Rice/dark walnut. On arrival from Amazon the box was pretty beaten up and sure enough the desk top corner was broken. The manufacturer quickly returned my call and sent out a replacement packed like it was shipping to the moon. Nice job on their part. Instructions were well laid out and it was about a four hour job total getting it built. The second day up though I scuffed a drawer corner and it chipped. My fault but it wasn’t that hard. Glued the small corner chip back on ok. Color is nice and accurate from web site. I use my 13 inch lap top on it and find the desk top plenty large. The bottom drawers hold more (comes with file racks) and have a quality extension system. The smaller drawers have a set up more reflective of the price point of this desk. I think this desk is great for the price. The only real question is will it last. The front or drawer side legs stick out a little more because the desk top does not extend over them as much as the back side. So be careful not to scuff those legs when walking around the desk. On a positive note, this desk does not weigh so much it can’t be moved, something I’ve experienced with sturdier desks. Looks, function, and price make this a great deal if you can handle with a little care. ... show more

I love this desk! Great size. I love the color. I have 2 24" monitors and a keyboard on top with a lot of working space left. My laptop and docking station fit perfect in one of the cubbies between the drawers. This is very sturdy. Took about 2-2.5 hours from box open to assembly completion. Beer Sutter to read the instructions about how to release party of the slider so you can attach. This is step 3 or 4. That is the only thing we got stuck on because we missed that note. There is a disk that helps you adjust the drawers to slide easy and they worked great. Everything opens and closes smoothly. The storage in all for drawers is just right. And the cubbies I have is like utilized also. I definately recommend. ... show more

Good looking and solid desk. The drawers glide very well except one that's a little sticky on mine, but still useable. Storage is great for my needs. The upper drawers hold legal pads so perfectly! The biggest part is assembly. Read, read and read again and follow the instructions carefully. Pay attention to finished sides and pre-drilled holes. I had the legs backwards and had to take things apart and redo. The cool thing is you can, in fact, redo if necessary. The wood pieces are labeled very well; they are either embossed, handwritten with a marker or have good adhesive on the stickers. I used a phillips screwdriver like they instructed by when I redid the thing, I used a power screwdriver and wish I had done that to begin with. My trigger fingers would have thanked me! Just lower the speed and be careful you don't strip the screws (important if a redo is in your future). At the very least I'd suggest a magnetic screwdriver as some of those little guys are pesky. 7 hours later (yup, I know), had it assembled but I just love it! ... show more

This took almost 4 hours to put together! Came in a million pieces, top drawers don’t fit smoothly, top piece weighs 75 lbs, to sum this up it was a BEAST to put together. It’s cute but I’d rather pay more from a furniture store, have it already put together and know everything fits perfectly. Instead of spending 4 hours putting it together only to find drawers don’t fit properly. Not my favorite purchase. ... show more

Super pleased with our purchase. WHO: Shared between 2 kiddos. WHAT: Use for academic and technology purposes. WHERE: Playroom WHY: We decided the children needed their own work area. The size is perfect. WHEN: Bought during the pandemic but we’ve had our eye on it for about three months prior. The desk is great for school aged children. Not overly mature looking but can be, all depending how its presented in the space. The drawers are nice and deep. The desk is sturdy and heavy. There’s a hole for cords too. The lines on the wood look as though they’re deep but its not. Well designed, fooled me until I touched it. Oh and the color is gorgeous! Don’t hesitate.
