  • It was okay while it lasted
Color: Cinnamon Cherry
Update: I called the Sauder company for a warranty claim. I didn't have high expectations. But it was very easy. I explained that I would like a new door shipped to me & the lady gathered my info & is shipping one out to me right away. They provided excellent hassle free customer service. It a fairly plain cabinet but it did it's job. We use it as a "coat closet" in our living room, right by the entrance to the house. We have no closets etc (123 year old house) so we put our bags, most frequently worn shoes, coats, etc in here for 2 adults, 1 child. But 9 months after purchase and one of the doors (the one above the drawers) fell apart at the seams. All of the them. Now this door comes pre-assembled. So it wasn't that we assembled it poorly. It comes preassembled and we only had to screw the hinges on & attach it to the cabinet. Well, it fell apart. We used wood glue on the seams and the wooden pegs to put it back together but that only lasted about a month and it fell apart again. Wish I had bought the insurance, but I didn't. ... show more

  • Is it great? Nah. Is it functional? Totally.
Color: Soft White
I needed something to help organize and hide the clutter in my laundry nook, and real shakers cost quite a bit. This was an affordable option in the interim, and it's doing the job. Other reviews talk about the stability of it, and I cannot express this enough, it is not that sturdy. One hard tumble into it and I'm quite sure it'll break a door. It's wrapped particle wood, which isn't bad but the doors are very thin. That being said, visually it's very nice and it works well with my kitchen. Once I get new handles, it'll blend right in! ... show more

  • Decent inexpensive cabinet
Color: Cinnamon Cherry
Bought 2, little nervous about what I was going to get based on some of the reviews, but I am pleasently surprized and satisfyied with them. Both arrived with no damage and complete. Instructions were documented well and assembly went pretty easily. If your somewhat mechanically inclined, this will be no issue as everything fitted/aligned up well. When finished, offers a pretty sturdy (light-duty, nothing super heavy) cabinet and is attractive. Getting the drawers to close properly took a little adjustment but the doors lined up and open/closed with no adjustment needed. Holds lots of stuff and would buy them again....and thinking about it for another section of the house. The box, when delivered, is quite heavy so if your a solo female or senior, keep it in mind. ... show more

  • Warning review from a professional assembler.
Color: Soft White
I really hate leaving a bad review for Sauder because they have gorgeous products in the furniture area. Sometimes, people just don't know what they are doing and screw crap up while they put it together, but i put my own furniture together and other peoples so when i say this was garbage its coming from an area of expertise. BUT, they have excellent design taste only they lack in durability. It took me four hours to put my cabinet together, then another two hours to properly organize it (gently- because it has a thin cardboard back that gets nailed to the left and right backside of the cabinet and I'm not an idiot i get these things are not the greatest). Once its together its incredible to look at and the first thing i let slide was the slight misproportion of the cabinet doors but they were slight and unless you're just staring it down you won't notice it in passing. i needed this to act as a linen closet because i recently remodeled and took out a closet to create a hall. And for the price i figured it must be better than the reviews I see. Well it is- until you try to move it. even gently sliding it and pushing at the bottom jacks this thing up. as soon as i placed it i opened a drawer to put n a single pillow case and it slid out and popped off its track and i was like "ok maybe i pulled this too hard i need to be more gentle" NOOOOO!!!!!!! no matter how gentle you are this thing falls apart every time you touch it in some way, shape, or form. I wouldnt be so upest if it wasnt for the fact that the money i used to buy this thing was a gift from my mother in law who recently passed away, and i feel like i squandered her kindness away on something ridiculous. so now, not only do i have this cabinet that wants to keep falling apart every five seconds, Im leaving a warning review to anyone else who may be wanting to purchase this thing. its gorgeous it has plenty of storage space but it will take a while to put together and then five seconds to break. its just not worth almost 400 they ask for it. my suggestion is to find a matching dimensional wall space to slide this thing into so that it protects this cabinet. It CANNOT be free standing with both the left and right sides exposed because it does not manage weight dispersment properly and the middle piece that connects both outside ends are not screwed into anything but MDF which wears too easy. Unless Sauder figures out a way to make the body of this cabinet hold together better this is a waste of money. I BUY ALOT from amazon and this is the FIRST thing I've bought that i am legit unhappy about. You've been professionally warned. ( please know- it was delivered in stellar condition, impeccably packaged, completely undamaged with all its components PLUS extra is you needed it. But it legit lacks the durability needed to be functional.) Add- I’ve reinforced every bit of this thing that I could adding another hundred dollars to this- and I still can’t get it to sit right I don’t want to have to fix it to the wall but it looks like that is going to be my only option. No worth it. And I don’t think I’ll get my money out of it before I just burn it! ... show more

  • Flimsy but looks nice
Color: Cinnamon Cherry
Paid $230, not worth more. -the top is unfinished, means anyone over 6’ will see the ugly fabricated wood. Can’t use this in a two story home area where you can look down at it. -so flimsy, feels like you could knock it down with a good push. Do NOT place anything heavy inside. We are only using it for blankets, vacuum and pet supplies. -panels slightly misaligned no matter what. I’ve put furniture together for years and this one just doesn’t come out perfectly no matter how many adjustments I make. Think the doors warped due to heat and humidity. -instructions aren’t great, had to assume things along the way. Figured they had it backwards when the unfinished wood was facing outward but that’s the way the holes were cut. Only way it would fit together, means they’re were too cheap to finish the top of the dresser. Wow The good things are the looks, from far away it looks expensive. Also the price, at around $200 this is a cheap way to store some light weight items. The kids can use it easily, as the doors are light/flimsy and little hands can open them. Overall, know what you’re getting into. Assembly was tedious but not bad for one person. The material is cheap, the shelves can’t hold much weight and no idea how long it will last. That said, it’s around $200 so it won’t break the bank. A real piece of furniture like this would cost $1000+ ... show more

  • Great for the price
First I want to say that instructions is great, one of the best I ever saw and all the parts are labeled correctly and even the place of each nail. It looks exactly like the picture.
