I bought 2 of these units to put in one if my antique mall spaces to display old crap that I have for sale. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to put them to put together, but mainly because the space that I was assembling in is a work space that had a bunch of other stuff in it, and wasn't easy for me to negotiate. My mall owner, who is incredible, and has been assembling, restoring, upholstering, etc for decades helped with one one the units...it was a BREEZE for her, yet still took 2.5 hours on MY PART due to my inability to line things up correctly...I stuggled with getting the screws in straight. 😐 I haven't put the actual glass shelves in yet because I ran out of time, but will assume that that should not be a problem. I paid around $160.00 per unit and extra for them to deliver inside, as it's a place of business and I didn't want them just placed outside of the doors for customers to stumble over. My Mall owner said that it was a good deal since the shelves are glass, and glass shelves, if not a standard size, are expensive. They don't look super high end, which is to be expected, but the Pogada styling to the tops makes them suited for the MCM vibe that the store leans towards, and is $2,000.00 cheaper than an original piece of that style! Hopefully the glass shelves all made it. I would guess that they HAVE, because the packing was SOLID! My only bitch thusfar is that I DID assemble on top of one of the boxes as suggested by the mfg. in order to spare the paint, but the finish comes off super easily. Metal furniture of this quality frequently DOES scratch super easily though, which is why I bought the BLACK finish. Easy to touch up when required! ... show more

I have seen this bookcase at numerous stores for much more. It was easy to assemble it didn't take long and everything was labeled clearly unlike so many things! Its not too heavy so it works well in smaller rooms since the glass opens everything up nicely!

Clear assembly instructions. Purchased for plants, the glass shelves are removable, so one can be left off to accommodate taller plants if needed. No negatives. I plan to spray paint this in a light neutral color.

This thing is heavy! I was able to maneuver it into my apartment though. Super easy to put it together once I got the angles right, screwing the shelves in had to be done at a precise angle and that caused issues. Once I figured it out, they all screwed in completely.
