Overall, I like this product. Installation was a little tricky, but nothing overly challenging and could easily be done by one person. Personally, I like building/installing things so it only took me about an hour, but I could see it taking someone inexperienced much longer. The directions were easy to follow, and I appreciated the different screws being different colors to help distinguish what you needed. However, one major issue we ran into is that the top is not at all secured properly. It is supposed to be secured with Flanged Lip Quickloc Connectors, but it really should have been with screws. When we tried moving it, the top easily lifts off with mild force even after the Flanged Lip Quickloc Connectors had been installed properly. While this type of connector is much easier/faster to install, it is not as secure as a good wood screw. I think you could probably switch this out for a wood screw if the manufactured holes were a bit different or angled better. I'm not too upset since we don't plan to be moving this around, but something to be aware of is you do want to move it to another room. Another minor thing we noted was that there was a scratch on the middle shelf. It's small and likely not overly noticeable when you are across the room, but I did notice some other reviewers comment on a similar issue. It wasn't something I had noticed until I was already pretty deep into installation, and wasn't a big enough deal to be worth sending the product back. However, if you feel strongly about something like this. I would recommend carefully checking each piece before you start installation. Overall, I like this piece & plan to keep it. The overall quality of this product uses the same "glue pressure boarding" as the others, but it seems like this material is better quality than most mass-produced furniture. This is a heavy box so be aware, and it is packaged pretty well with reinforced corners, so the shipping companies have a less chance of destroying the panels inside. The assembly is pretty straightforward with clear instructions the acknowledged attempts by Sauder of humor in the wording. The only "con" to this is that if you received the same type of packaging as I did, you will in fact need a drill. The part "M63" on page 13 of the instructions have you assembling a "cam lock" in it. The problem is that the wood part M63 did not have any holes in it except for the recess for the 1F camlock part. You will need to drill a hole in the end of the board for part number 2F of the cam lock. Use a drill bit slightly larger than 1/4", and drill directly into the center of the end of the board so that part 2F can slide in with some resistance. Drill all the way through to the recess of the 1F cam. At the other end, the pilot hole for the 1-9/16" screw (30S), needs to be a 1/8" hole, approximately 2" deep. Again, make sure you drill straight down in to the end of the board. I assembled the board into the drawer before drilling so it was easier to keep aligned. ... show more

This is a very solid and sturdy piece of furniture. Considering it uses those common twist and lock pieces, this doesn't wobble at all. And it is heavy 70 lbs maybe. The colors are very good. It just so happens to match my desk I bought 10 years ago. You have to assemble the whole thing, including drawers and slides. By myself, took me between 2-3 hours. Instructions are easy to follow. And everything works well. Only issue is, after a month, the top edges began to show the MDF, as if the top wood veneer shrunk. Its only slightly noticeable from close by, but not awful. Instruction suggestion. When you get to the part where you attach the vertical face slats on the upper left and right, add that on towards the end. My two pieces were both about 3/16 too long, and made the other parts not fit well. You can see in the photo, I actually left mine off so there is more room. Looks a little odd, but nothing unfinished is exposed, so it still looks like its fully assembled. It works well, solid, plenty of room, extra space, satisfied with the purchase. ... show more

Solid packaging but would still suggest checking all the pieces before starting construction as this is laminated particle board. Was worried at first about how it would look when finished as the fake wood laminate looked really fake when looking at the individual parts but am quit pleased with it now that it is complete. Assembly was not difficult but block out 3 hours. The instructions are a 7 out 10. A hammer and Phillips head screw driver is all thats needed for assembly. The top can support 50lbs and the lower shelves 40 lbs according to the instruction. If all pf the parts are there and particle board and laminate are in good shape I am betting you will be happy. ... show more
