Although it was a lengthy process to build, I think it took about 11 hours over 3 nights by myself, the finished product was exactly what I wanted. A larger very sturdy desk, with a lot of room. Nice black color. I definitely recommend spending the little extra. I can clearly feel the difference between the $300 desks vs this $500 desk and it seems worth it to me. Although there is a lot of leg room, I feel that I have to get my chair really in the center to utilize it all. I also don't love how the keyboard tray is set. I set it up on the left(larger side). When I pull it out, the tray is under the right side still by almost two inches. This forces my hands to be set up closer to the left, which ends up causing my hand to bump into the left side of the tray. Its not a huge deal. I am overall very satisfied with this purchase and recommend it. One last note is that apparently the Bleeker st and Palladia Model are identical. Obsidian and Wind Oak are apparently the same dark color which is black. Different sellers use different names. ... show more

The finished product is a nice, sturdy desk with a decent amount of storage. If you’ve assembled knock-down furniture in the past it should be pretty straightforward. There are a lot of pieces and a lot of different hardware, so take your time. I took the better part of a day to assemble the desk, with several decent breaks throughout the day. The desk arrived with 2 pieces damaged in shipping. A quick call to Sauder and new pieces were en route. It took about 10 days for the replacement pieces to arrive, but when they did they were in excellent shape and fit perfectly. The keyboard drawer is a bit janky since it fits exactly against the other side of the desk, so I just use the drawer for pads of paper and other supplies. Other than that, it’s a desk. Make sure to check the dimensions to make sure it will work in your space. ... show more

I love the desk and it looks great! It's the perfect size if you work from home. Here's a couple of things to know before you buy - It takes work to put together - plan on spending an afternoon doing it. The instructions are pretty good, but there were a couple of steps that were difficult to understand. You will need to keep a desk cleaner handy - smudges do show. ... show more

The finish on the desk causes the desk to constantly look like there's fingerprints on it. It's a good size but you can barely fit anything inside the drawers. The screws for the desk were too long, so if you put them through and try to get the screw head to be flush, it comes through the top of the desk. If it wasn't for the hassle of undoing the entire thing, I would be returning it. There are 4 screw holes that were created bc the screws given for the assembly were longer than the width of the wood. ... show more
