Best trail training shoe

This is my third pair of Saucony women’s outdoor trail running shoe. I love this brand and I love these shoes. They’re comfortable and versatile when they get wet they don’t make my feet sweat.

Great for hiking through jungle

Great hiking shoes for jungle area. Bought these to go to Costa Rica. We were staying in a jungle area during the rainy season. These were really great when hiking through muddy, rocky areas. My feet never slipped and they were comfortable. I bought my normal shoe size.

Shoes can not be cleaned

Fit well but get dirty easily and it can't be cleaned. For some reason, the dirt does not come out. Shoes look shabby but they are comfortable

My favorite tennis shoes of all time. First time I’ve ever had tennis shoes that fit properly. I’ve had them over a year and wear them regularly and to the gym so they get lots of wear but I’m very careful with them so that they would last. Problem is they are beginning to fall apart from the inside. Is a year a long time these days for sneakers to last? Am I expecting too much? 🤷🏼♀️ I will probably buy again simply for fit and comfort but I’m a little disappointed that a saucony shoe is coming apart. Reasonable complaint? Good stabilizer for my needs

If Saucony ever needs someone to advertise for them, I’d do it. I started wearing this brand over 30 years ago when I worked pt for an outdoor store, and had the luxury of to wear demos of different brands. I sold running shoes and became very good at recognizing fit. I’m a small woman 5,3” 105 pounds, and only getting older. Age changes feet. I’m not a runner anymore, but I walk a lot. I’m not saying ALL the Saucony styles are great, they are not all for me. They were also affordable, and I’ve been able to find good sale prices. This has also changed. What hasn’t changed for over the years— size. Always a size 9. I normally wear an 8-8.5 medium width street shoe. Morton’s foot and mostly flat arches keep me in a Saucony size 9. The other point after 30+ years of experience, is to look VERY closely at pictures of shoes. Learn to understand what your foot needs. I look for Saucony styles (and all shoes) that are cut lower at the ankle. Flat feet means my ankle bone is low, and with age even a little lower. I can have the sides rubbing my ankles. Next, I look at the shape of the toe box. I know a running shoe that curves in on both sides and becomes more of a point will not work. The curve, and roundness of the toebox is exactly what I look for every time. I have a narrow ankle. This shoe grabs my ankle when tied. No slipping. At 105 pounds I wear down the outside of a shoe faster than you can blink. Really. My family believes I have a shoe buying issue. Maybe. However I alternate everyday shoes often so I’m not constantly buying. That said, I need something that stabilizes my foot. A stiffer trail type shoe does this. Not as cushy, but that’s not what I need. This shoe helps stabilize my landing therefore stabilizes my knees. It also reduces back pain for me. Lengthy review, but hopefully some piece of it helps you look at a shoe differently, and helps with your buying process. ... show more

Durable and Supportive, Holds Up Great

As a parent buying shoes for an active kid, durability matters, and these have exceeded expectations. My daughter is tough on sneakers, but these are holding up well. More importantly, they've solved a real issue: she used to run on the sides of her feet and deal with pain, but these provide the ankle and foot support she needed to run properly and comfortably. ... show more

Not durable and overpriced

I can’t recommend these shoes. I walk and hike around 30 miles a week and have tried many trail runners—these are probably the worst I have ever purchased. The toe box is pinchy and never loosened up over months of wear. The inside lining of the heel ripped out almost immediately, and the soles on the outside edges developed holes really quickly. The left shoe ultimately produced Achilles pain that left me with no choice but to discard them. The only thing that is good about them for me is that they are lightweight. But at this price point, these shoes underperformed in a surprisingly significant way. Buyer beware. ... show more
