This product is a rip-off---it came w/ NO directions
I can't believe the "SATISFYER PURPLE PLEASURE" was recommended by WIRECUTTER, let alone that Amazon sells it! I'm guessing the company has an "in" with either Wirecutter or Amazon---or both. There were absolutely NO directions on how to turn it on, let alone other options for use. Basically, you have to "figure it out" for yourself. Now, I consider myself pretty savvy in figuring things out. But after finally getting it turned on & using the device I was then unable to turn the thing off! After a few minutes of trying, I finally just let it bounce around on my bed till it ran out of charge. Pathetic.... Also, the charging cord was not the best so I replaced it with a cord from a previous vibrator which is excellent. This item "looks" good but is incredibly frustrating to use---so.... not very "satisfying"…haha. I have emailed the company asking for directions on how to use. The initial response was very disappointing. They actually asked ME for a video showing the defect---REALLY??? I responded by asking them for a video of how to operate this sleek little device. No response yet. Again, I just can’t believe this was recommended by Wirecutter…. This is the last time I’ll follow their recommendations.

Unbelievable pleasure, broke in 32 days, but manufacturer (EIS) replaced
I've never had or used a vibrator in my life but after reading the NY Times article (yes, the NYTimes rated vibrators!) which raved about this, I gave it a try. Verdict: INCREDIBLE! A vibrator affects human genitalia like nothing else can. And the shape and feeling of the Purple Satisfyer are perfectly designed. BUT, like you will read in other reviews, mine just stopped working in one month. BUT, the manufacturer (EIS) stood behind their warranty (15 years!?) and replaced it free of charge! I hope this one lasts 15 years, and that EIS has learned how to make the inside of the Purp. Sat. (motor) as flawless as the outside. I'll keep you posted.

Disappointed: extremely difficult to charge and doesn’t work
I wish I could give this 0 stars. The magnetic charging function for this vibrator is way too finicky. The charger and device have to both be in the right position and angle, which takes effort. Despite leaving it to charge overnight and during the daytime, and the device showing that it was fully charged, I couldn’t get it to work. This item is not returnable; however, after calling Amazon’s customer service, I was able to get a refund. If I hadn’t, I would have been very upset. Since then, I’ve tried a few times to charge it and see if it works, but no luck! It’s possible that the problem just this particular one. Still, the device is so difficult to get charged, that I don’t recommend it. This is just trash!

Item does not work! It Does not hold a charge and never once turned on.

Because I bought this through Amazon, I foolishly thought their usual fantastic customer service would apply if I needed help. Well, the device won’t take a charge and it won’t turn on. I’ve contacted the manufacturer a couple of times, as directed, asking for help or replacement, and they’ve been of no use. And Amazon keeps referring me to the manufacturer so basically I’ve thrown the money I’ve spent for this thing in the wind. Do yourself a favor don’t buy this, read the reviews first and check with Amazon about a return policy on the device. You’re buying to make sure it can be returned if it doesn’t work properly. This was a diplomatic as I could be about inferior, cheap, and disappointing product I purchased and the subsequent “we got our money….you can go pound sand” service i received after the sale. Good company support
I was quite happy with this item and had actually ordered it as a replacement for the same item that had quit working after a number of years. Then the new one quit working after about a year and a half which did not make me happy. So I contacted the Satisfyer company and they were extremely helpful. After trying a few things to see if I could make the device work, the very polite company representative asked for proof of purchase and my mailing address and I got a replacement device. Because the Purple Pleasure was not currently available I did have to choose a slightly different device but it has worked out just fine. I wanted to post this review since others had said that the Satisfyer company was not at all helpful and I wanted to say that this was not at all my experience.

Difficult to turn on until I figured it out. Press and hold for a few seconds, just below the vertical line. Works great. Happy with how it functions and the variety of settings.

Don't waste your money
This is the most frustrating and poorly designed item...the various speeds are impossible to know, control or manage...the on/ off switch is so difficult to access that to turn it off, I have to plug it into the charger...I have tried learning the controls before using and to be honest, I am so frustrated that I haven't dared to try and use it, knowing the trouble I am having just working through the alleged settings- a no return policy and a waste of time, money!
