How is it that I am 55 years old and just now realizing the awesomeness of satin sheets? I have always needed the most comfortable, soft, breathable sheets and thought that sheets made of cotton, Egyptian cotton, bamboo, or, most recently, silk was the way to go. I have some silk pillowcases and thought I would try a silk fitted sheet…until I saw the price. So, I decided to try a satin sheet and OMG, it’s so much better than the silk! The silk is nice, and I thought they were the best for keeping me cool and comfortable, however one issue I have with them is if you have any dry, rough spots on your hands (legs, feet, etc), they will catch and snag on the silk and make you feel like you have the skin of a shark. Not the case with the satin! Everything just glides. 😌 I live in a very dry climate and often have rough spots on my hands and feet, but on these sheets, they slide along like buttah. Seriously slippery, and I love it, and ended up buying a fitted satin sheet for the hubby’s side of the bed (split king), both our teenage kids, and also for our two guest bedrooms. I haven’t washed them yet, so I can’t speak to how well they hold up, but when I do…I will wash on the delicates cycle and with low heat. After knee surgery, I found it difficult to shift around on cotton sheets. My doctor recommend this type of fitted sheet and I am glad he did. It is much easier for me to move around on this silky-feeling fitted sheet.

I recently was in the market for new sheets and had a silk or satin material in mind. I always buy sets but only ever use the fitted sheets since I already have pillowcases, comforter etc. I knew I wanted something fairly priced and came in one piece. This was the best reviewed and best priced. The only complaint I read on this was the fact that it is so slippery that you can easily slide. I think if your looking for silk or satin sheets it’s going to feel that way regardless. However, it definitely is slippery but not to an outrageous extent, but you will definitely be satisfied regardless. One plus with the soft/smooth slippery texture is that it will keep you cool. One last thing I read was that it tears easily. Just keep an eye on your surroundings and you shouldn’t have any issues. Hope this helps! ... show more

My hubby has been wanting satin sheets for forever. I finally ordered this sheet to give it a try. This sheet was better than expected. It's plenty big enough. The material feels quite durable and is so far doing just fine with the cats clawing it as they climb on to the bed. It's a great color -- gold satin sheets aren't very common on amazon. It's not too flashy or too dull; it's just the right shade to look luxurious without being loud. I got 2 other satin bedding from different sellers to compare. I found this one not as stretchy as another seller's fitted sheets -- i need to align it perfectly to fit.
