  • Looks just like mortar
Size: 10.5 oz Color: Gray
This stuff is excellent. I used it to patch up some gaps in the stone on my house, and it looks just like gray mortar. A little on the light side, but there are many shades of gray when it comes to mortar so there’s nothing you can do about that.

  • Great fix for old fireplace!
Size: 10.5 oz Color: Gray
I looked and looked for a product to fix the cracks in the mortar of my surface fireplace stones that would mimic the appearance of the original mortar. My fireplace is made out of old limestone slabs that had mortar which been repaired in the past, but new cracks have appeared and worsened over time. (the house is 50 years old). The cracks were too small to shove mortar into, but they were large enough to be visually quite unattractive. The fact that this product has the "sand" granules in it to give the true appearance of original mortar was a huge plus and I couldn't find anything else that compared, nor could I find anything locally that was even close. I have applied this once and have a few places where it sank in from shrinkage as it dried, and will touch that up with a second application, but I'm extremely well pleased with the results so far. I will have to touch up the color in order to get a total match with the existing mortar, but I'm already convinced that I chose the perfect product. I've plan to buy some small tubes of acrylic paint (very inexpensive), mix a custom color to match the existing mortar and then dab it sparingly in tiny amounts to get the tone of the patched cracks just right without giving it a "painted" look. I had a hard time finding this product on Amazon, as it's in the "industrial and scientific" category, and I think they should also list it in the home improvements section. === Update: I have added an image to show my fireplace before and after. Bear in mind, this fireplace is 47 years old and has taken its share of hard knocks. The places where I used the More-Flexx were where previous patching had re-cracked and left open spaces by the patching. The prior patches did not match the original mortar, nor did the More-flexx, however I was extremely happy with the surface appearance of the More-Flexx with the granules in it to look like mortar. I bought some cheap bottles of Acrylic concrete paint, mixed a very light mortar beige color with a tiny dab of black to get the color right for the original mortar, and have posted a picture my results. I'm happy with the appearance, compared to what I started with. My supplies consisted of the More-flexx, a brass-bristle brush, a washcloth, two bottles of acrylic paint, and a short-bristle artist brush, plus a lot of patience in getting my color mixed right. ... show more

  • I've been using this product intermittently over the course of several months..
Size: 10.5 oz Color: Gray
For ("higher altitude) hairline cracks on heavily textured white stucco.. it's nice to use on a ladder, along with a spray bottle solution of warm water w a few drops of soap (have experimented adding a tiny bit of bonding agent, & vinegar or/ pinesol); spraying it down then work it in w my fingers, lastly tossing a dash of white sand at it while still wet, as a final touch.. very honestly it does dry on the greyish side but has worked well for me so far. however, this past month or two, they've literally doubled price (probably because I've personally purchased so many /& i have received a half dry bottle for those who say this is of no issue); moving forward, i'll likely be trying different brand products because of some of these "because-they-can premiums".. ... show more

  • Absolutely wonderful
Size: 10.5 oz Color: Gray
I love this stuff! I've used stucco patch in the past, and the results have mostly been "not great." First of all, the grittiness is never perfect, so the smoother surface sticks out like a sore thumb. Then it's hard to work with and takes a while to cure. And if the damage is caused by anything reoccurring, it just comes back, only now it looks patchy AND damaged. I figured this was a job better left to the professionals, but the professionals want a lot of money for this sort of work. After watching youtube, I bought this to fill a crack in a stucco retaining wall that just snapped through the stucco patch. and seriously? You can't tell it was there. Not even months later. It's like magic. Since I had plenty left over so I used it to patch the damaged stucco under the front door. Not only does it look perfect, but because of the rubbery texture, I dont have to worry about it cracking and cumbling again. This has no doubt saved me hundreds on those two places alone, but I had plenty left over. I smeared some over the parts I repaired with stucco patch and repainted. Much better! I just used up the last of it patching small holes in the stucco retaining wall. It is perfect for that, since you just pipe into the hole and it works like glue, saving as much of the surface as you can. The rest you just rub or slap until it matches the surrounding texture. It's child's play. I'm almost tempted to fix the whole neighborhood. ... show more

  • Exceeded All Expectations
Size: 10.5 oz Color: Gray
I moved to Florida a few years ago and bought with a stucco exterior. I saw some hairline cracks. I admit I don't know much about stucco, but I was concerned. I called a painter. He said it needed to be repaired before the cracks got larger. He would need to paint over the repairs because the new paint wouldn't match. He wanted $4,000 to paint my house. I decided to try to fix it myself and use some touchup paint. If he was right, I could always call him back (or better yet, get another estimate). My house is gray, so I bought this product with a gray tint in it. Attached are three pictures. First is a before photo that shows one of the cracks. The camera is only six inches from the wall, so you can see the crack is very minor. I found the best way to apply this caulk was with my finger and press it into the crack (second picture). After that I used a soaking wet towel to remove the excess You can only do a small section at a time because it dries quickly I worked in 18 inch sections. The last picture shows the end result. I did not paint it, and I don't see any reason to do so. It is labor intensive and pretty hard on your fingers, but to save $4 grand it is worth it. There may be other products on the market that work just as well, but for me, there is no reason to try them. I am sorry I can only give it five stars. ... show more
