  • Recommended for Epson 5030ub.
I purchased this mount for my Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 5030ub and I was not disappointed. It was a quick and effortless install and looks great. I have read a review which advised it would not work on the Epson; however, I had no issues. The mount connected to four points with two included extensions on one side and the original arms on the other. The cover cap which snaps into place on the ceiling presented a temporary frustration as it fell down a couple times during projector adjusting. Once everything was in place I snapped it back on and it has remained. I would happily purchase this mount again. ... show more

  • tilt and swivel are completely independent for easy set-up and perfect alignment - Quick-release mechanism allows dismounting ...
They can't even get the product description correct: - Controls for roll, tilt and swivel are completely independent for easy set-up and perfect alignment - Quick-release mechanism allows dismounting for servicing of filters and bulbs without realigning and refocusing - Fits most DLP, LCD, and CRT projectors Each of the above three bullets show up TWICE in the product description. Apparently, they can't even review their own product description postings, so it isn't a surprise the instructions that accompany the product are absolutely horrible. Study and solid product, with the exception of the pitch and roll (not sure if those are the correct terms) adjustments, the screws are flimsy, not study like the rest of the mount. The instructions use some unknown references to the item listings that make absolutely no sense at all. The plastic package that contains the items have numbers printed on it, that again do not match the instruction sheet. You just have to take your best guess as to what part the instructions are referring to. There are a dozen items that are not even used, but no explanation. I'm assuming they are for different types of projectors that use different mounting size screws. No idea. With four mount screw holes, it seems impossible to align all four mounting brackets. They completely overlap on my small Epson projector. Perhaps this isn't a problem on larger projectors. Alignment is incredibly difficult due to the flimsy screws for the two critical adjustments, but the rest of the kit is rock solid. The instructions for the extension pipe and connector (which the refer to for a sloped ceiling) are confusing and basically worthless. You'll have to figure out a lot of this on your own, as the included instructions are confusing and worthless. Easy fix: Post a how-to video link on the product description page. Prepare to be frustrated, expect to spend a couple of hours trying to get this installed and aligned. The quick release is nice, but expect to spend a lot of time each time re-aligning everything as the two critical screws are flimsy so the removal and reattachment isn't so "quick".. ... show more

  • Good solid product
Great purchase for my Panasonic 8000U projector. Many options for installation and it looks clean and professional. It is sturdy and adds an element to the whole home theater room.

  • projector mount review
I actually received a free mount with my projector but I thought this one looked more sturdy so I used this one. It's a very nice mount. It has a lot of parts in it that looked intimidating but if you install the mount per the instructions, it's a snap. I like it a lot and feel very confident about it holding my projector. I would recommend it. ... show more

  • Three Stars
Expensive for what it is. the screws cut out chips out when you apply a moderate amount of force. It is super difficult to get the alignment straight.

  • Very good mount that could use a tweak or two.
Pros - lots of flexibility, solid hardware Cons - lots of flexibility, Why include white covers? I bought this mount because of the different options that it has available for mounting and it good reviews. I agree that this is a very good mount at a good price point. However, I spent a lot of time getting the settings right for my projector. With only 3 mounting holes I wanted to make sure that I had the projector balanced so it wouldn't shift easily. That easily took me more time than I expected (~90 minutes). Once that was done, it was smooth sailing. The instruction pamphlet reminded me of an Ikea furniture instruction book, only this was actually helpful...heck you could almost be illiterate and get this thing mounted. One other thing I really like is that they didn't skimp on the hardware. This isn't the typical low grade aluminum screws and cheapo hex wrench you hope you don't bust off. There were at least 3 different size machine screws for the projector and solid steel legs and pipe. The most baffling thing I noticed is that they included two white covers...in the picture they are the round plates at the top and bottom. Why white? I know some folks would like this to be a hidden as possible but if you use the extension post you'll have a big black post and two silly white covers. My suggestion would be to manufacture a white version and a black version. Personally I don't mind the black look on our white ceiling. I mean I've got a 120" screen that covers nearly the entire wall...I don't need to be subtle on my projector. I'd definitely buy this again. ... show more

  • Does the job
Instructions are a little light but online videos help solve the puzzle. Three point mounts are possible but not straightforward to install. Nice that there are both black and white cosmetic covers.

This is way overkill for the projector I was using but had all the adjustment I needed. Held very securely with a couple of high quality anchors. A bit fiddly to get right so you will definitely need an extra set of hands to get the projector setup, but once it's there, it's there.
