    • A Lot of Features for a Budget Camera
We got this camera for our oldest son (11 yrs) for a trip to D.C. this summer and it turned out to be a hit. We had to figure out a few features and he definitely felt a bit overwhelmed by the variety of modes and features. The camera takes decent pictures and the menus are easy to navigate. There's a bit of a learning curve with the camera symbols for a younger kid, so it definitely helps to show them the basics and let them get comfortable with that before introducing them to stuff like night or action modes, shutter speeds, etc. The camera also seems pretty sturdy although I worry that having screens on both sides kinda sets this camera up for some damage. Time will tell if it's able to hold up from the standard abuse kids put things through. The app is pretty simple to navigate but it's also required for this, which is a bit silly. Battery life is also not super, but you get two batteries to avoid losing power when out and about. In summary: PROS: Good pictures and video quality, simple navigation, two screens, lots of features, nice size for a teen or younger kid CONS: A bit complicated for a younger kid, mediocre battery life, uncertain durability with two screens, required app. As of this review, the description has been updated with more megapixels, so I can't speak to the improvement of any other features. It's a decent camera for the price, but this also assumes you don't have a phone that does it all already. ... show more

I hate that I spent my money on this and then missed the return window. I was hoping to use this to photograph my items for an Etsy shop, so that I didn’t have to keep all the pics of my items on my phone, eating up all my memory space. The camera is so light-weight that just pushing the button to take the pic causes movement, so it is impossible to get the thing to focus. I tried everything. I literally cried with frustration about it because it was too late to return it by the time I used it the first time. It’s garbage. ... show more

My oldest daughter is 9 and has been asking for a camera for awhile, and I wanted one that took decent photos, but one where it wouldn't be the end of the world if it got broken. This is a great starter camera for younger ones!! It takes better photos than I expected, and charges up quickly. The color and design of the camera is really cute too! The same button you use to take a picture, is the same button you use to manually focus. Because of this everytime I get a shot focused and go to take a picture the shot becomes unfocused before you can capture it. There is an auto focus feature that just makes every shot unfocused and blurry. I wish I could just return it but I missed the return window. ... show more
