I bought this to replace a card reader that came as a package deal with my card. The cheap card reader in the package got very hot and it would stop reading the card unless I had a fan on it. This SanDisk card reader barely gets warm. Much better product and I am very happy.

    • Fast picture transfer
Got this to speed up the picture transfers after trips. Transferring a couple hundred GB went from an hour to a few minutes using this compared to the camera directly. No special software just plug it in and select files. If you want to speed up picture transfer or take your camera out of the equation this is a great option. Just make sure the write speed of the location your copying too is fast or it won’t make much of a difference. ... show more

This is my first B card, it's fast if you go directly to your PC, if you go the long way through a USB extension cord, it will slow down and heat up. The cord provided could not be used and had to go buy one.
