  • Works very well above water.
Capacity: 128GB
Unfortunately, this card is 60 ft deep in a lake right now. Going to try and dive down to recover it this week. I'll update if I am able to recover data after 10 days at 60 ft. While it was above water, this card was amazing. Absolutely no issues recording 4k video from my DJI Mavic Pro using this card. If you have this card and are wondering where to put it, get a DJI Mavic Pro http://amzn.to/2sWercd Compared with the Sandisk Extreme http://amzn.to/2tbR1jg This card has about the same read speeds as the non-"Plus" version, but write speeds are 30% faster, bringing it within range for 4k video recording. Definitely worth the small price increase over this lesser card. Compared with Sandisk Extreme Pro XC I http://amzn.to/2sad8b7 The Extreme Plus is nearly as fast as the Extreme Pro, and generally a bit cheaper. The Extreme Pro XC I is rated at 95MB/s vs the 90MB/s rating for the Extreme Plus. The 5% speed difference is usually not worth the additional money. If the price is near the same then the Pro is the better card. Compared with Sandisk Extreme Pro XC II http://amzn.to/2tb5Ged The Extreme Plus is not near as fast as the Extreme Pro XCII, though much cheaper. The Extreme Pro XC II is rated at 300MB/s vs the 90MB/s rating for the Extreme Plus. The 230% read speed difference may be worth the additional money in some situations, but the cost is also about 250% higher for the same storage capacity. However, there is little improvement in write speed. Unless you need to dump the card in the absolute minimum amount of time, this Plus card or the Pro XC I is the better option. The XCII chip is best suited to tablets or phones where reads are more common than writes. It was so good I purchased a replacement to work with a new drone. Dumping massive amounts of video files off of this card was a breeze as well, given the excellent performance. I do recommend removing it from the device for best performance, and using a quality card reader such as. http://amzn.to/2shF9Ou or http://amzn.to/2shRWAz I have attached a benchmark using the Saicoo reader above and a generic USB2 card reader. The transfer rates using the Saicoo show this card to operate at specified rates, about 88MB/s read and 85MB/s write. Definitely worth the money over the SanDisk Extreme if you plan to transfer high bit rate video (4k) or high rate photos (RAW bursts). Even when plugged into a USB 2 port, the Saicoo transferred at 40MB/s, a definite improvement over a bundled generic reader. ... show more

  • Top quality U3 MIcroSDXC card which will work perfectly for 4K video recording!
Capacity: 128GB
I recently purchased the YI 4K Action Camera and one of the advantages of this product over many of its competitors is that it supports 128Gb cards. My first two attempts at finding compatible cards were the PNY Elite Class 10 U1 128GB MIcroSDXC, and the Sandisk Ultra Class 10 U1 MicrSDXC. Neither of these worked reliably - the Sandisk wasn't reconized at all, and the PNY was only recognized if the camera was powered on at 1080p@30fps (and then switched to 4K recording). So, I went to the YiTechnology dot com website and found that they only recommended U3 cards, so I decided to pony up and get one of the recommended cards, and this was the cheapest option. As mentioned by the first reviewer, I did indeed get what was promised - the Extreme Plus variant of 128GB MicroSDXC card which is U3 compliant. Read speeds are excellent, and sequential write speeds are noticeably higher than the other two cards I tried. As in the olden days, when buying corporate IT equipment, the established names such as IBM weren't cheap, but you were guaranteed top quality performance and a warranty to match. So it is with Sandisk flash memory products. There is a reason why many professional photographers will only buy Sandisk cards. Failures are highly unlikely, and if they do happen, Sandisk provides high quality, US based tech support (1-866-SANDISK) to help resolve your issues - something that can't be said for a lot of the budget brands out there. The card comes with a limited lifetime warranty (so long as there is no physical damage to the card, Sandisk should replace it if it stops working). I highly recommend this card for anyone shooting 4K with hardware that supports cards larger than 64GB! ... show more

  • A Better Choice for Action Cameras but Not Perfect
Capacity: 64GB
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this SD card for my action camera after purchasing this one: SanDisk Ultra 64GB microSDXC UHS-I Card with Adapter, Grey/Red, Standard Packaging (SDSQUNC-064G-GN6MA) I noticed that with the Sandisk Ultra, my videos contained pixels, and also it seemed that the speed could not keep up with the movement. At times, it looked like I had used a special effect in which the background moved at a different speed from the objects in the forefront. I am not sure if that makes sense, but you would have to see it to know what I mean. I concluded that the issue must be my inexpensive SD card. So I purchased the Extreme Plus. It is proving to be better than the Sandisk Ultra, and I no longer notice the above background issue. However, I do still notice some pixels in my videos, although less than before. I am giving this SD card 4 stars, because I believe it is about the best available, but I still do not feel it is up to the task of handling today's action cameras 100% perfectly, although it does a decent job. I paid full price for this item. All opinions are my own. ... show more
