  • Works great

  • Eventually seems to be fine
I ordered one of these cards in preparation for a long trip. When I got the card I put it in my camera and took several photos and everything seemed fine as I reviewed them. The next day when I went to look at the images, I discovered they had disappeared. Thankfully they were not very important, so I formatted the card and shot a bunch more images to try and replicate the problem but everything seemed fine. A few days later after shooting several hundred more images, I noticed that several photos were showing as corrupted and I was unable to download them. Thankfully I was able to use a file retrieval program to retrieve the corrupted files. After contacting the seller, I arranged to get a replacement. When the new card arrived, I tried everything I could imagine, shooting almost 2000 images, swapping out to other cards, turning the camera (Canon 7D) on and off and pulling the battery, but the card seemed to be fine, so I headed out on my trip. About 600 photos into the trip, I noticed more corrupted images. Thankfully I had a few older SanDisk cards that I managed to get by on for the rest of the trip. When I returned, I contacted Sandisk and they led me through some techniques to try to solve the problem, but a few weeks later more files were corrupted, so I returned the card and got a replacement. It seems that the third time was the charm as I haven't had any corrupt files since then. I have been a long-time SanDisk customer and am glad they replaced my faulty cards, but I am disappointed that I had to go through two bad cards in a row before finally getting a card that works. For an Extreme product, I expect much better quality control than this. ... show more

  • Perfect for camera
This fits the older model canon camera. I use my camera several times a week and take undress of pictures at a clip. I do outdoor photography in terrible weather conditions and this card lasts usually a few years before I need to change it out.

  • It just works
The best feature of this memory card is probably that I don't really have anything to say about it. I rotate between three 32GB cards: this one, an older SanDisk Extreme (the black one that was 60MB/s) and the older Extreme Pro (90 MB/s). I think it's important to note that all the listed speeds are read speeds- important for getting data off the card and onto your mass storage device, but not that relevant to actual shooting. The write speeds are the hidden spec that is actually more important to me, and that's where I expected this card to play second fiddle to the Extreme Pro- the latter card is 90MB/s write as well as read, where this Extreme card is 120MB/s read, but only 60MB/s write speed. However, I've yet to notice any difference in buffer clearing or max burst between this and my Extreme Pro. Now, I've not done any measured scientific tests, and the 7Ds I'm using are certainly a few years old. So I may come back and update this review once I have a 7D mk2, if the higher throughput makes more of a difference apparent. But, in the meantime, I'd say these Extreme cards are more than fast enough, and that at least for shooting primarily cross country, I'd save my money and choose this over the Extreme Pro. ... show more

  • As Good As It Gets
This card is as good as it gets. The only card I have that is faster is it's big brother at 160 - MB/s. They are both phenomenally fast. I shoot 1080i video & RAW files to it from my Canon 1DX with zero issue. At 12 & 14 frames a second (RAW) the 1DX buffer is what eventually slows my shooting - I can't get the card to stall out & it's download speed on a SanDisk Pro card reader as amazing. SanDisk is clearly worth the money. ... show more

  • Skip the 160mb/s and get two of these!
Great Cards, great speed! I was debating if i should get the 120mb 32gb or the 160mb 32gb and i thought to myself for the price of the 160mb i can get two of these! 40mb does make much of a difference for the pictures i shoot so i went with these! I use a canon 5d mark ll and lets just say i have twice the memory for what i would of had with one 160mb 32gb sandisk cf card. ... show more

I tried using this card for couple shoots (Prom pictures and others) it worked fine. I felt confident about the card so decided to use this during my trip to India. I could look at the pictures on the camera every night after the shoot. I was pleased with pictures and knew what I had in storage. Once I returned from the trip neither my camera nor my laptop or the card reader would read the card. I just felt cheated. When I chatted with Sandisk support guy online he just kept reminding me there is no warranty on the pictures and I can go to the companies (by paying out of my pocket to salvage the pictures if they are important to me) They can replace the card for me. This is a big risk I presume if there is someone professional taking pictures and has to deal with it. For me I know the parts of India I traveled I would never go back again so I am using a company to get my pictures (hopefully) restored. Wish me luck! ... show more
