    • Very similar to if not the same manufacturer as the Eastwood blast cab gun
The looks and feels the same as the trigger blast gun that comes standard with Eastwood blast cabinets. The primary difference seems to be only the media hose. This one is a fairly rigid (NOT very flexible) black hose. The Eastwood one has a steel re-enforced poly line which is more flexible. Hand feel is the same, but darn that media hose don't like it. After all is said and done, I settled not on this or the included Eastwood gun, but instead got the Eastwood foot pedal with gun. That gun DOES not have a hand trigger which brings me to my final point and the real decision making. No matter how you shape the gun, eventually you get tired of holding the trigger and frankly its just difficult with thick rubber gloves in a blast media cabinet. If you can afford it, go find a foot pedal kit with a no-trigger gun, you'll be happy you did. But if you just want a cheap replacement gun, this seems identical to the one that came with my Eastwood cabinet. ... show more

Sand blasting (or media blasting) is an effective way to clean metal parts of paint, grime, and grease in preparation for painting and restoration. In the past I had to take my parts to a business and wait weeks for them to be completed. Now I can do it at home! You can order the blasting medium right here on amazon. The grit and material (sand, glass, shells, etc) depends on the metal being blasted. It's a messy process that must be done outside, but you can blast into a large open cardboard box to limit the debris and ease cleanup. This kit works fine and includes an assortment of nozzles. The big issue with this kit is that it doesn't include any instructions what so ever. None. Nothing. Not even a guide as to what each nozzle is or what it's used for. Overview: As Described. Experience: Works well. Does take a lot of air and that was not rated or stated in the write up. From me ( small 5 gallon tank with 140 psi compressor) that means filling tank depleting waiting do it again. 20cfm 100psi does the trick for 6mm nozzle. For the price it works well, pretty basic point and shoot and is all you need for small jobs. The hose is a bit stiff and short, plus a hopper is nice to have for the medium. Now that I know I do wish I opted for a complete kit which comes with those things.... ... show more
