Worth every penny! When you have something that stands up to the hype you make sure your friends and family know. This is one of those deals. These things are bullet proof. You can whack them in the hard clay ground and they stand up to the torture. I've bought all the others first...in an attempt to "save money" and regretted every one. Bent in the middle or the dreaded W when you hit them right at the top of the U joint. But not these. These took a bashing from my 5 pound sledge and went straight in. This is the second ordering these stakes. They are strong enough to be inserted easily. And I found that of they are too long for my project I can shorten them. Long enough to not be pulled out. Would buy again if needed.

I got tired of using the flimsy 6” loops for drip lines in the garden. I bought these and made a jig. Bent loops in them so I can easily pull them at the end of the season.

awesome, heavy duty, way better to get the job done. using mine on some 1 inch black poly sprinkler tubing to secure to the ground. very good thick metal. however, rusts right away, not a lot but it makes me wonder whether it has a protective coating on it and how long it will last - probably still a really long time. i still would buy these again. the price for these is awesome considering how much metal is there. i'm very happy i didn't DIY my own ... show more

We bought these for the gaps in our chain linked fence to keep our little dachshunds from squeezing through and escaping. They work great! We placed them in the gaps where the fence does not butt completely flush with the house and the gates. These stake/staples really are easy to install. I used a 3 lb hammer to set them but could have been easily done with the rubber mallet recommended. When you hit a root or rock stop ,pull up what you have driven move over and try again. It will typically go through a small root or bypass a smell stone. It will bend if you try to drive through a very hard object. In my case i never had the problem because i moved the stake over a few inches. ... show more

We've done quite a bit of landscaping around our house/yard over the last 15 months, including laying landscaping fabric. We've tried multiple brands of landscape staples, but most are so flimsy they bend when you push them in, and the shorter ones sometimes work their way up after a freeze/thaw. Don't know yet about the effect of winter on these staples, but they are by far the sturdiest staples we've used! ... show more

These are strong, sturdy and have nice sharp ends so they go into the ground easily. The only negative is that they got black all over my hands when installing then rusted very quickly. I would suggest spraying them with a clear coat of spray paint before installing if you don't want them to rust.
