Ordered Samsung's Movingstyle M7 M70F 4K (with adjustable rolling stand) to evaluate and for general use. At first glance it seems quite HEAVY because of the included 4' tall stand that has a 36lbs base at its bottom. That aside, the 32" screen is a niche product that is somewhere in the middle between an IPS workstation panel and a Smart TV. On the monitor end the display features 10 bit color HDR true UHD, 4k, or native 3840x2160 pixels at standard 60hz with 4ms response time, which makes it acceptable for use at a workstation or console gaming but would otherwise bottleneck any experience to 60 frames per second. As for Smart TV functionality... the subjective experience all comes down to how much a user likes or dislikes Samsung's Tizen One OS, which seems to steer the user towards streaming only or subscription based services AND also requires registration with Samsung to even be able to use it — notably the unit will perform a bunch of lengthy updates when connected to a network for the first time as well. To be frank, personally I highly disliked the Tizen One OS environment experience for multiple reasons, at the forefront of those the lack of any available apps such as VLC to facilitate playback of local content such as from a NAS without resorting to Plex. However if all one will do is just play YouTube videos or use any of the big streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc. then it's just fine towards that end. Aesthetically the matching monitor and stand have a clean, simple, modern look... however a similar setup could be achieved by purchasing any other TV or Monitor along with a third party stand on wheels for similar or at a lesser cost. So ultimately it is a niche IMO. It is notable that the monitor includes its own desktop or tabletop stand. The 4' rolling stand can alternatively be repurposed to support any monitor with backplate matching 100x100 VESA standard. Also notable is that the 4' stand is not just HEAVY but also very thick and solid — to topple over the standing unit would quite literally require a grown adult to tackle it with a deliberate intent to knock it down. Software aside, the unit features 2xHDMI inputs, 3xUSB-A ports, 1xUSB-C 65W output power for laptops, and internal speakers that just sound good enough or as to be expected on a typical 32" TV. Wireless connectivity supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth v5.2. The included Samsung remote features recharging via universal USB-C port or by exposing its built-in solar panel to sunlight. The Samsung Movingstyle M7 M70F Smart Monitor has been a fantastic addition to our home gym. It’s one of those products where you don’t realize how useful the design is until you start using it every day. The rolling stand is the standout feature. It’s solid, stable, and the hidden wheels make it incredibly easy to move around the room. Since space is at a premium in our gym, being able to roll the monitor wherever we need it—whether for workouts, stretching, or just watching something while cooling down—has been extremely convenient. The 4K UHD display looks great. Videos, workout apps, and streaming content all look sharp and vibrant. The AI Picture Optimizer and AI upscaling also do a nice job improving lower-resolution content, so everything looks crisp on the screen. Another big plus is that it works like a built-in smart TV. With the integrated smart apps and Samsung TV Plus, we can quickly pull up workout videos, YouTube, or streaming services without needing another device connected. AirPlay also makes it easy to cast content from a phone. The design is very clean as well. The 13-foot power cable running through the stand keeps everything tidy and gives enough flexibility to move the monitor around without constantly unplugging it. Overall, this is a very versatile smart monitor that’s perfect for flexible spaces like a home gym, office, or living area.
