really wanted to keep this watch as the 40 mm size was perfect and loved the features. My use case was very simple, using it as a stand alone cycling fitness tracker that syncs to Strava fitness app. I wanted it to record my miles ridden with gps and also leave my phone at home and still be able to make phone calls in case of emergency. Everything was working fine even though the miles tracked with gps were about a tenth of a mile off from my phone for every ten miles ridden. I could tell from the gps map of my ride using both the watch and the phone that my phone was able to track more accurately. There was less variability in the gps signal. Ok, so I could live with gps being off by a mile over a 100 mile bike ride. I was also comfortable with the battery life. Seemed like I could get a good 7hours or more using cellular, gps tracking, and data service. The rest of my day I didn't even wear the watch. The deal breaker for me was the lack of external heart rate monitor support. Shocker! I have seen reviews saying how the heart rate tracking for the samsungs weren't that good and I had an external polar heart rate monitor I wanted to use. Well, I could not do that. I could not get my motorola phone to recognize the HR Monitor via bluetooth. I researched some and found some people had luck getting it to work with a little effort but only with a Samsung phone. Mine was a motorola. Sorry, but I need an external hr sensor so that was the deal breaker since I know the google pixel watch and the apple watches support that. If you're not picky like me and can live with the less accurate heart rate tracking built into the watch then it's a great device and probably the best android based watch. This watch has many great functions.. I don't need my phone to view and respond to messages. My work pants don't allow my phone to be with me, so I'm able to see important messages when needed. It's already found my phone multiple times. It has health features but I have yet to set that up. I can change the song that's playing in my ear buds without my phone from the watch. The only con so far is the battery only lasts a day.. Though it only takes an hour to charge. It's not a huge deal to charge it with my phone at night. I wanted a watch more for notifications, control for my music, and google reminders. I've had a fit bit & if you want more of the health features, sleep tracking etc .. the fit bit is more set up for that. This watch can do that but also has its own service for messages, calls, and things like that. ... show more

This is a decent watch. Bright screen easy to read although I need glasses to read the smaller numbers, but that is a problem with my eyes, not the watch. GPS tracking is accurate as expected. The heart rate monitor is accurate, the oxygen saturation measurement is not particularly accurate and should be taken with a grain of salt. I have had readings that, had they been accurate, would have put me in the hospital. As many have mentioned, battery life is not great but you can do a few things to stretch the battery. On the plus side, charging is fast but not a fan of the magnetic charger. The ECG function telling you you don't have atrial fibrillation is a gimmick and not really useful. If you actual had atrial fibrillation you would have collapsed and you wouldn't be checking your watch for it. The wrist band the watch comes with is cheap and awful. As far as apps go it is a nice little mini version of your phone although the watch screen is really not big enough to be super convenient. Sleep tracking is not accurate. Not a bad watch with some limitations. I think the Apple watches are better but they are also a lot more expensive. ... show more

I always wanted a smart watch, especially after I lost my normal watch. The galaxy watch 6 is really great for just about anything. You can customize the face and view your calendar on it. In fact, you can even browse the web! (But it's not recommended) Battery life is decent and after about a day of usage it runs down to low 50%s unless I used some of its power-hungry apps, which in that case it will be in the 20%-30% range. I charge it while I shower, so it's full battery before I sleep, and it never runs out! Out of all smart-device manufacturers, I found Samsung to be the most accurate. When measuring pedometer steps, they're only off by about 1-2 steps for every 10,000 steps you take. (I counted) The sleep-tracking feature is really nice too, and with the health trackers and Google calendar support, this watch quickly became my favorite. With the LTE model, I can make an emergency call even without a plan in the event I need one. I hope I won't ever need to, but if somehow my phone was stolen I can call for help. The watch also has NFC, meaning I can pay with it too. It can connect to Wi-Fi to download updates, and is constantly connected to your phone. In general, support with my galaxy phone is very well-done and I recommend Samsung to anyone who wants Android but doesn't like lag, because Samsung devices perform really well at just about any task, and their ecosystem has a lot of open holes where you can connect devices from other manufacturers. Because of this, I can control any nearby device without my phone, even if it wasn't made by Samsung. I can control speakers (but the watch also has a good-quakity speaker itself), and other nearby devices such as lights! I can also respond to texts using the watch, and swipe-typing is really accurate thanks to Samsung's machine learning keyboard. I even wrote E-mails on it when I was in a hurry. Also, this was discounted in a bundle and came with a suitcase tracker, so I decided to buy it since it was a good deal. It was well-worth it, and I think the galaxy watch is good for anyone looking for a smart watch. ... show more

Works great! I got a used one because I was wanting something on the lower price end. The only problem I had was connecting it to my phone but support really helped and it was resolved super quickly! It's battery life might last all day... im not really sure about that because I charge it whenever I am sitting and doing school work. It charges really quickly and does fantastic at tracking my steps obviously and my sleep! I really love it! It fits really well and seems to be pretty durable since I keep accidently knocking it on things. Obviously the touch screen also works really well ... show more

I was really excited to add this watch to my life. Advertised as basically having a phone on my wrist. I could leave my phone behind and still connect with people just like my phone. Well, to my disappointment, that is not the case. The only messaging app that I can initiate texts thru is the original text messaging app on the phones. Yet, I talk to the majority of my family thru Facebook messenger and my boyfriend uses another messaging app. Those are not apps that I can put on this watch. So the only way that I can communicate with them is if they message me first. Plus, you can't open any snapchat message on it either. Only on my phone... so I feel like I've just wasted $300 and signed up for an extra mobile monthly service for this watch to act like a phone but ... the only reason it gets one star is because it fits my tiny wrists nicely. I'm not sure why samsung doesn't allow these apps of communication because a lot of us use them. This watch may work better for others but my main reason for purchasing it was communication. Sadly, it fails miserably in that department. Update- I had read reviews on bad battery life but I at least thought it would get me thru my day. I put it on at 8am with 100% charge and by 7 its dead. I don't have it on continuously either.... I can not convey how disappointed I am in this purchase. ... show more
