So, I’m a little biased, coming from a first generation Apple Watch to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. It’s like jumping from the stone age to the modern age with as fast as technology improves these days. Not only is it a beautiful piece of tech as you can see in the photo I took above last weekend, it’s sturdy as much as it is functional. I work construction, so that this watch still looks as good as it does after a couple of months on job sites and in the rain, is a testament to how durable it is. The battery life is phenomenal to me, I can usually get two days out of it, including wearing it while sleeping, before I have to take it off and let it charge. It charges fast, honestly, and it’s nice to have a small break from wearing it after a bit, so that’s a win in my book. Sleep tracking is something I’m new to, and it is incredibly accurate, I’m just not completely sold on it because I don’t see the use for the information unless I’m doing a sleep study. It was neat to see at first, but the novelty has worn off. All of the active trackers are pretty accurate, the stair flights tracker is the least accurate, I climb stairs multiple times a day, and sometimes it just doesn’t register up to a third of the flights I’ve climbed. The new blood-oxygen tracker should absolutely be taken with a grain of salt, since the tip of the finger ones work so well because the laser is able to shine through the fingertip, whereas the wrist is much thicker. A word of warning, do your research, if you’re buying this to use on an iPhone, you are going to be moderately limited in available functionality with this watch; no text message app, Spotify only acts as a Play/Pause/FW/RW app. No real deal breakers for me, but read up on it just to see if it is for you. Overall, Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is a solid smart watch and gorgeous to boot, that dial is so buttery smooth, and using it for calls makes me feel like Dick Tracy. No real complaints, but I knew its limitations ahead of time, so consider that when letting me influence you.

I have owned 3 Samsung smart watches so far Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Frontier. I was going to wait a while considering Samsung will be releasing another Galaxy watch soon however, the price dropped by 27% so I figured I would cash in some rewards points and take the plunge. This watch is stunning out of the box and comes packed with all of the smart features I have become use to with an added bpm monitor feature. As stated prior the watch is stunning however, I added a Ringke Bezel Styling cover which took the overall look to the next level. Also, I changed out the stock leather strap for a different color premium leather strap for even more flair. Overall the watch is gorgeous and fully functional connecting to my phone via Bluetooth which is why I rated it 5 stars.

I am getting almost 3 full days out of every re-charge and the re-charge is pretty quick. Usually an hour and a half from empty. Everything was pretty easy to set up and start using. Spotify controls were the only thing that got a little screwy. My app froze up after I controlled it once from the watch. Taking calls on the watch itself is pretty amazing and super clear even outside in the wind. Sleep and fitness tracking are great. Sleep does not always register 100%, but good enough to see the patterns. I would recommend for Android users.

This is an amazing watch. I'm coming from the gear S2 and it's a big improvement. I felt I needed an upgrade after 4 years. I chose to go with the 45mm version as I'm a fan of big watches and it actually looks nice despite what others say about it not being meant for smaller wrist sizes. This watch is very responsive and I've yet to have any sort of lag. I've set up my NFC payments through Samsung pay but I haven't had to use it yet so I can't comment on that as of right now. Many of the apps that I use are very clear and detailed such as messages, weather, Discord etc.... I haven't tried to dictate any of my messages so hopefully I can provide more incite into this later on. I have used bixby a few times and there has been no error in bixby understanding what I say thus far. I have no complaints about this watch so far besides possibly the price which is quite steep. There is no ECG which is a little disappointing but I expect it'll come out in the near future. Otherwise, I'm quite happy with my purchase. If anyone is looking for an upgrade and don't mind spending a little extra for a well built and high quality watch, you won't be disappointed.
