*EDIT: Partially my fault for not just knowing that the "/DS" in the model number meant it wasn't made for US territories. I guess the listing is technically accurate... Just, relies on buyers already having that knowledge. Phone itself was fine EXCEPT... despite buying directly from the official Samsung storefront on Amazon, the unit itself came from some 3rd party shop. After having severe issues with the intial activation, my service provider was able to push the eSim through. However, I then got a message saying my phone is not compatible with all functions and signals of my provider network, and also noticed I was unable to update to the latest firmware/software versions of the phone for the USA. Checking the base software information in the settings, it's because this unit was manufactured for the UAE/Saudi Arabia regions. Don't know why little 3rd party shops are able to sell through the Samsung storefront, with no oversight that they are even selling the correct region specific units. ... show more
