When I first received the phone, it ended up not being completely unlocked. I contacted the seller and we tried resolving the issue before replacing the phone. They were very helpful and apologetic for the problem, and sent out a replacement as soon as they received the returned phone. I waited to review to give them a chance to rectify the situation, which they did. I received the replacement today which is unlocked and working great! Both the original phone and the replacement are in great condition. The seller was very responsive to my messages while we worked on resolving the issue, and I am happy with the outcome. TOO BAD I CANNOT GIVE THIS PURCHASE ZERO STARS. I know that this review will probably not be posted because it is not a "good" review......but here goes...... DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! I bought a Renewed Galaxy 25 Plus from Re-Cell as part of the program through Amazon in October of 2025. I ordered the SAMSUNG Galaxy S25+ Cell Phone, 256GB AI Smartphone, Unlocked Android, AI Camera, Fast Processor, ProScaler Display, Long Battery Life, 2025, Navy (Renewed) in EXCELLENT condition. It was guaranteed to be unlocked. On January 23, 2026, while I was over 1000 away from home, an update was sent out and automatically installed on my phone. The phone became bricked. I went to my carrier’s store and was informed that the phone had not been paid off by the person that originally owned it and apparently I had been scammed. I contacted Re-Cell and told them I wanted a full refund as the phone was unusable. They said they would fix the problem. My carrier told me until the phone was paid off, it would remain bricked and their account would being going to collections! So, I purchased a new phone through my carrier and of course could not use the Re-Cell phone as a trade as someone else owns it. I am very disappointed in Amazon also since they did nothing to help me with this issue. ... show more

Overall im very happy with the phone. Ive been buying renewed phones off Amazon for awhile this will be my 4th or 5th phone. Most of which are from this seller. I've had a pretty good experience with the phones and seller. This phone was almost perfect, it did have 2 thumb print size markings in the screen ( barely visible) only noticeable when screen is off. But it was 2 spots were the factory coating on the screen had be rubbed of or removed. I can see how the seller missed that it took me a good week of using the phone before I noticed myself. Seller was very helpful and offered to replace it which I declined since the phone otherwise was in great shape. They did offer a $20 refund which covered the cost of screen protectors so more of the coating isnt removed. Overall I would say im pleased with the phone and customer service. A more thorough review of the phones would prevent something like this from happening. Assuming they didn't know about the coating spots. And thats the only reason for 4 star instead of 5. But ill continue to by my phones through them. I trust them to make anything right on potential issues, and trust there phones are as advertised ... show more

I was very pleased with my purchase of this phone. I received the phone on time and as expected. It is in excellent condition as described. Although it says you can just move your SIM card from your old phone to the new phone, it unfortunately isn't that easy. I already knew this before purchasing the phone and already knew I would have to buy a new SIM card from my service provider. All is good though because it was only $25 for a new SIM card, and they were able to install it and connect the phone in under 10 minutes. I'm sure they could have used my old SIM card, but it definitely would have taken longer than 10 minutes and would have been much more difficult to do. In my opinion, the seller of this phone should be upfront about this, but it was definitely unlocked as described, and I can't even tell it is used. It has great battery life and recharging times. The resolution and screen quality are extremely good and it has great camera resolution/clarity. I am still learning how to use all the new A.I. features, but the help is definitely outstanding! 5 stars!! ... show more

My wife and I have bought budget phones, then discarded them after 3 to 4 years, because neither manufacturers or carriers supported their phones beyond two OS upgrades, and another year of security updates. Now that Samsung is going to support their phones for at least five years, I decided to gift her a somewhat more expensive phone. First thing - my unlocked phone came to life with the AT&T boot up screen. That scared me, and I came back to the listing to read again to be sure it was supposed to be unlocked. I proceeded to set up the phone for use, in my own way. I won't go into details, but setup wasn't exactly standard. The phone upgraded from Android 14 to Android 16, then downloaded several security updates. I logged into her Google account, and added the phone, then used Samsung's utility to transfer all files and data via USB cable. Losing the grandchildren's photos would be worth more than my life, but that worked quite well. With the phone almost ready for use, I went to her former carrier, and requested that the phone number be released for transfer to my own carrier. Wait, and wait, and wait and finally they came through. The moment of truth was upon me. I went to my carrier's site, and started activation of the unlocked AT&T phone. That went smoothly. I guess the phone really is unlocked. This IS a refurbished phone, I must assume that someone installed the AT&T app and other software before returning the phone for some reason. Factory reset didn't rid the phone of AT&T branding for some reason. I am pretty impressed with this device, so far. I love the 12 gig of RAM - quickly disabled the RAM boost because virtual memory can and will wear out your - cough - "disk drive". I refuse to call the storage "memory", even when being misused for virtual memory. I fully expect this phone to last to 2030, and beyond. (Our budget phones have always been pushed a year past end of support, without scratches and other damage.) Overall, it took me about six hours to get this device ready for my wife to continue setting it up. I did some minimal debloating. Why do phones come with so much pre-installed crap? I still have some stuff to remove, but that will require installing ADB, and digging deeper into the OS. I will return at some point to update this review. She will find any and all problems with this phone in short order! I will most likely return in a few months to get another one for myself. (I'm always 8 to 10 months behind her on upgrading to a newer phone!) For the price, this refurbished or renewed phone seems a great bargain! Merry Christmas everyone! ... show more

I use this with a magsafe popsocket wallet and ditched the purse. The wallet sits just below the lowest camera. I have dropped my phone several times but the phone isn't damaged.
