After A LOT of searching through different Samsung's S24 and S24 +, I decided on this one. I was nervous that I might get scammed, the phone would be locked, or that it would be damaged (after all it is a refurbished phone). But I was wrong, the phone was if perfect condition and looks brand new! No dings, scratches, or anything. Very impressed! It came with a charger which is a plus (the phone was at 39% when I first powered it on). Also, the fingerprint works well. I was pretty scared the phone might be locked, but it was not. I popped the SIM card out of my old phone and put it in this phone and it's worked just fine. I am planning on taking it out of the country so we will see how that works. 🤞 I originally had a Note 16 pro but wanted something with a better camera and had wanted a Samsung for soooooooooo long!! I had heard so much about their camera quality and the camera did not disappoint! It's really nice, clear, and clean! The volume has a really nice range. The battery life is a lil sucky compared to my old pone but it's doable. I went to a car show and it lasted the whole time in the burning sun! Also, shipping was fassst! Upgrading from a S20 FE. I received my S24+ the next day and it's in good condition. No obvious scratches, pixels are fine. Phone worked fine putting in my old sim card. It came with the previous owner's screen protector still on it, which at least gave me a little protection for a day while I checked out the phone to see if it was ok and then ordered some tempered glass protection, the one on it was just a film. About the biggest negative I can find is that battery is at 90% health according to Accu Battery, but that's not a shock. I expected I may want to replace the battery in a year or two, but I also take care of my batteries. The S20 with a new battery that I've had for 3 years is still at 100% health. Speed wise, this is definitely faster booting up and opening apps than the S20. Overall, I'd say this is a great relatively cheapish upgrade if you need one, and getting it from Amazon you've got 90 days to check it out to make sure it works ok. ... show more

I bought this phone expecting a standard, working device. Initially, everything was fine. However, I have discovered a critical software flaw that prevents the phone from receiving any updates. This means the device is already significantly outdated and will become a security risk. The core issue: Stuck on Old Software: The phone is running One UI version 6.1 and Android version 14. While others are receiving the new One UI 8.0 update, my phone is completely locked out. Outdated Security: The device claims it is "up to date," but the actual software information shows a Security patch level of November 1, 2024. This means the phone has not received a security patch in an entire year (as of late 2025) and is vulnerable. Technical Confirmation of the Problem: When attempting a manual software update, the system reports the following information, which confirms the update mechanism is broken: Update information: One UI version: 6.1, Android version: 14 Current version: S926USQU4AXK5 / S926UOYN4AXK5 / S926USQU4AXK5 Security patch level: November 1, 2024 The retailer's response confirms this is a severe and unfixable flaw: I contacted my carrier, Amazon, and the manufacturer (if applicable). Amazon's technical support provided a definitive, alarming response: "FOTA is also not supported in this version. (210) The version of the device is NOT supported. (No delta for the version)" This technical response indicates that the specific software build on this phone is not recognized by the standard update server and cannot receive the necessary "delta" (the small file needed to transition from the old version to the new one). This confirms the phone is permanently stuck on this outdated and potentially insecure version. strongly regret this purchase and cannot wait to replace this phone with a new one bought elsewhere. The photos don’t do it justice but the phone arrived in perfect condition. No scratches or scruffs on the screen or body whatsoever. The speaker sound quality is loud and clear.
