The phone arrived looking brand new. Did the data transfer no problem. Went to pop out the simm tray and .... no tray! Just a hole in the top of the phone where it should have been. Had to order a replacement tray from Ebay because there was no way to notify Amazon of my predicament. Not real happy because it'll be several days before I can insert my simm card. ... show more

So far the phone has been great. Battery life is very good, processor is still plenty fast for internet browsing, and basic apps. Plays games pretty well although I dont play anythingnlike cod or destiny on it so cant attest to heavy load gaming. Factory unlocked as advertised, screen had no scratches, touch is direct no ghost taps. Quick and easy of the box factory restored just like it was a new phone. ... show more

Up until I bought this phone I was content with lower end/obscure phones. This was almost the same price as a new mid tier A series samsung but the performance is significantly better. OK. I paid extra to order this device as "unlocked". And it was ... kinda. What I mean by that is I have experienced this exact same thing before. The phone was actually a Verizon phone, that's unlocked, but there is still a lot of "verizon" stuff bound up in the software. I think Verizon has its own Android version, and they probably make it impossible to completely clean the phone. So you end up with a phone that can connect to any carrier BUT you have several Verizon apps that you CAN'T uninstall, and you are prompted as to whether Verizon can gather data about you, etc. Moreover, there are some things that you will have to live with, such as the phone notifying you that a Verizon SIM chip is not installed - if you use another carrier. All that said, the phone is nice. It's a pretty good upgrade from my Samsung S9 (8 years old) that no longer accepts software updates. But it's also a LOT larger! Good for reading, bad for putting in anything other than pants with baggy pockets. However, for an "acceptable" condition phone, there were no scratches on the screen. Just the edges of the metal case were a little scratched. But I expected that. With a case on it, you'll never see them. Battery life seems pretty good. It kills me that you have to pay $240 to get a scratched up Samsung phone that will have at least two years of guaranteed software update capability. But it is what it is. I guess the reason I make such a big deal about the Verizon branding is that I bought my Mom a refurbished Samsung A01 Android phone, and the same thing happened - she was stuck with Verizon branding. Except her phone was only $80! It works fine. It accepts software updates, and runs whatever apps I load. I think it would be perfectly adequate for me, too. So I'm still on the fence as to whether I want to pay $240 to get a phone that is forever reminding me that I don't have a Verizon SIM installed, and that forces me to keep several Verizon-specific apps in place (who knows what kind of data they gather???). Anyway, we'll see. I'm still getting used to it. If you already use Verizon, you may absolutely LOVE this phone! ... show more
