Phone has dings, all round the edges. Pretty expected considering I bought the refurbished good condition instead of excellent to save some money. Sound quality in general sounds bad at the main speaker next to the charging port, but you can clean it using a needle. Don't use a wire brush -- it will scratch the finish more. I do need to clarify: the phone you purchase from this seller is unlocked from the factory. Its model code is the S916U1, and the U1 is factory unlocked. If it doesn't have the 1, then it's from a carrier. I recommend you buy factory unlocked phones because they don't come with any bloat from carriers. The feel of it was bigger than I expected, but it fits nicely. The functions of the phone are standard, like a new phone. It did come with setup already completed, but I needed to reset it anyway to transfer everything. Cellular wise -- it connects to a 5G+ tower, or if your sim isn't compatible with said 5G+, it can switch to standard 5G, 2G, 4G LTE, or just 4G. ... show more

A few years ago I stopped buying the "so-call free on us" phones pitched by the phone carriers, and I now always buy phones outright online. It saves a ton of money. This S23+ is my latest phone and I could not be happier with it. I have both an AT&T service via SIM card, and also Verizon service via eSim. This phone works flawless on both services. The phone is truly unlocked which allows me to connect to the two services. This phone is the perfect size for me needs, both large enough to be useful, small enough to be portable. As usual, Samsung makes quality phones, and this one is no different. The battery life is decent, even with having two services, because the phone has to communicate with two cell services simultaneously. I do set the battery to only charge to 80% to save on battery life and it usually lasts me a couple days. ... show more

I ordered my Galaxy s23+ from edge cellular on here. The phone delivered when it said it was going to. The phone was truly factory unlocked, and I had no issues during setup with my sim card. I ordered excellent condition, and it truly is like new. No scratches, scuffs, or damage of any kind. So far the phone is a massive upgrade from my previous S10+. I highly recommend it. ... show more

    • Locked and completely un-unlockable.
I bought an "unlocked" phone. It came with printed directions telling me that it will indicate it is locked to Verizon, but not to worry, as soon as all the updates were done, I could insert my sim and the phone would work. Since the phone came completely wiped back to the factory release date, I had to individually and incrementally install all 32 updates. At 10 minutes per update, that is 320 minutes. It took an entire afternoon/evening plus the next morning. Normal factory resets do not remove all the security updates and OS updates, so that should have been my first clue. After all that work, the phone still said it was locked to Verizon. I spent an entire day on the phone with both T-Mobile and Verizon tech support, driving 2 cities over to go to the Verizon and T-mobile "corporate" stores. No help. Technically the phone is unlocked, it is clean, it is not stolen or lost, it is supported by T-Mobile, but no one could figure out how to convince the phone it was indeed unlocked. We did 3 additional factory resets, we tried 1 SIM and 2 eSIMS. T-mobile tried to remotely install an E-sim. The manager at corporate verizon said something is wrong with the phone that is not reparable. He told me if I was a verizon customer, they would have exchanged it for free. T-Mobile also looked at it in person and were just as mystified. However, they accepted it as a trade-in, even though it was locked. So I ended up trading it in to T-Mobile and getting a new phone. I recommend to anyone buying a used phone to insist on seeing a photo of the screen showing the "unlocked" status and not just take the sellers word for it. ... show more

I purchased this phone as a replacement for an S21+ that I dropped but had for three years. That phone was fine and so is this Samsung Galaxy S23+ Plus. The performance, call clarity, and functionality are great even from a "RENEWED" phone. The item I am reviewing is as says in the headline, a renewed cell phone. NOT a brand new one so this isn't about new phones and how they perform; but used phones and are you really getting something that is renewed. I had to exchange the first S23+ that I received because the first one had issues with the glass. I can only guess that it was replaced at some point. However, the glass on the phone I received was warped in the corners and down the sides close to the edge. The glass also could not be OEM Corning Gorilla glass. It felt rough and held smudges like no cell phone I have ever had before. The exchange phone I received also had an issue. When I plugged a charging cable into it, it would not work. The cable would not seat all the way in. When I looked in the port, it was clear that it was very dirty. The picture only shows a small amount if dirt. I accidently threw the tissue away that had the bulk of it. These renewed phones, regardless of the condition rating, are supposed to be clean; and regarless of the condition, I expect the glass to be OEM. When you get your renewed phone, make sure you check it over very carefully! ... show more
