  • Works great (so far), great price, worth the buy!
Service provider: Unlocked Color: Green Size: 256GB
It's always a gamble buying a phone that's renewed/refurbished, because you hope you're going to get what the seller actually promises (as opposed to a disappointing/broken/non-working product). This isn't my first refurbished phone, but I'm always a little anxious spending the money on something I HOPE is going to be good (as opposed to brand-new/unused). I bought this phone in refurbished/excellent condition. After reading multiple reviews on multiple refurbished phone listings on Amazon, my biggest concern was (always is) getting one with a damaged screen, cameras, or having it not truly be unlocked. I've had this phone less than 24 hours, but here's my take SO far (I can't speak for other people, these are just my experiences): 1) Yes, it was (for me) truly, 100% unlocked. Not even an ex-carrier logo when I first turned it on! (My previous 'unlocked' refurbished phone has a T-Mobile logo when turned on) I was quite happy/impressed about this. 2) No scratches (that I could see) on the front/touchscreen. There are multiple, TINY scuffs on the sides (not part of the touchscreen)/top edge/bottom edge of the phone - which I fully expected w/ a refurbished phone, and I'm totally fine with it (and this is if I'm REALLY nitpicking - they're really not that bad, though. It's just not FLAWLESS, which - again - I'm fine with). 3) 99% flawless on the backside - the ONLY thing I can see is a TINY scuff on the edge of one of the cameras (not the actual camera/glass screen itself), and this is cosmetic - it doesn't affect the quality of the camera (that I've noticed). 4) S-Pen pops out like it should, seems to be fine. 5) Charges just fine so far - both wireless and wired. 6) Popped in my SIM card (US Mobile, uses T-Mobile network), and it worked instantly. No phone/SIM-related problems so far. Everything - and I mean everything (data, wallpapers, photos, Samsung Notes from my previous phone, sounds/ringtones, apps, folders, etc) - transferred from my old phone perfectly (Samsung Smart Switch app). 7) Fingerprint reader works fine for me so far - and that's with a plastic-y (TPU?) screen protector that I put on it. I haven't noticed any real issues thus far - if anything changes, I'll update my review. OVERALL: For me, yes it's definitely worth the money. If you're considering it and you're on the fence (and I understand why you might be), I say go for it. I'm very satisfied, hopefully nothing changes in time. Buying refurbished is a great way (in theory, lol) to save money while still getting a phone you really want (I think they're normally way overpriced anyway). Shipping was great (got mine the next day!), no issues with packaging (very safe/secure), and the phone - while not literally FLAWLESS - still looks great, works great, and I look forward to using it for a long time to come! A great buy overall! ... show more

  • Beware buyer!
Service provider: Unlocked Color: Phantom Black Size: 512GB
If I could leave a 0 for Samsung I would, Amazons been great btw. I bought this phone September 12, 2024. Carrier coverage worked fantastic, cameras are amazing, still are amazing. Fast forward to February of 2025 thats when my cell coverage would randomly drop after doing an update. I contacted my carrier support, and spent hours troubleshooting, they asked me to check for updates, low and behold I had more updates cross fingers. After doing the updates I now have no cell service. Looked online and there are a lot of S22 Ultras and the newer Samsung phones with the same issue after updates from Samsung. Ive tried two different carriers, all networks Verizon, T-mobile, and ATT nothing except in satuated cell coverages like phoenix it will randomly gain and drop cell service. Ive read the 5g antennas and sim tray board can be faulty from the factory, had a shop change them with no success. Im in contact with Samsung to try and get the phone fixed, they had me go to a shop that said its more than likely the motherboard/mainboard for the phone, we cant fix that it'll have to be sent to Samsung to be fixed. Recontact Samsung and they can't even give me a price on how much its going to cost me to fix their updates screwing up my phone. Really disappointed with Samsung not standing behind their updates and products. I used to love Samsung, i had to move my sim card into my Note 10 plus and it works perfectly no cell issues at all. I will try and update after sending the phone to Samsung. Update 8/12/2025 Soo i sold the phone and bought a Pixel 9pro xl and it works perfectly with my carrier and no issues. I have a friend that has his s22U starting to have issues. My wifes S21U is now having connection issues and I've bought her a Pixel 7 pro. I dont know whats up with Samsung but they need to figure some stuff out. I wont be buying Samsung anymore. I love their camera which is my main point in buying a smart phone. its sad but theyve lost me as a customer. ... show more

  • I'm finally loving a phone again
Service provider: Unlocked Color: Phantom White Size: 512GB
First, about the vendor. If I could give ten stars, I would. Professionally packaged, they included a screen protector and a charger brick, which Samsung does not. Not high amperage, but better than nothing. Also a USB C cord and the SIM tray ejector pin. What's not to love? The condition was as if brand new, the S pen was included. And 512GB of memory? Wow! No more dealing with SD cards and figuring out where things are stored. All for $424 and 12 months to pay with no interest on my Amazon CC. My history of of cellular phones goes back almost 40 years to car phones. As to PCS hand held phones, 25 years. Many Nokias, then Windows Phone, then very grudgingly, Android, only because my beloved 950XL does not have voice over data and technology moved on. I got a Samsung A52. I have had phones that I didn't particularly like, but none have I hated as much as that A52. SO many stupid things, constant misbehaviors. I can't tell you how many times I threw that puppy against the wall. Good thing it has a great case. Well, Mr. Samsung. All is forgiven with this S22 Ultra. This is the first phone I've ever had that did not allow a "no lock" option. I've never had reason to lock my phone from prying eyes or fingers. No big secrets and I don't lose my phones. Anyway, this phone requires some form of security...god, I've come to hate that word...but I found the fingerprint unlock to work well, so that hurdle crossed without pain. I really, really hate doing things on the tiny screen and keyboard of a phone. The Microsoft Phone Link has been a god send, letting me use a big monitor, keyboard and mouse for messages and other purposes. SO much nicer and easier. Well, it just got better with the Samsung DeX feature. Plug the phone into a USB port on the PC and now you have a work station. (Historical note: My Windows Phone could do this with the optional docking station a decade ago.) Now I can use the Samsung Snapseed (like Adobe Lightroom, but FREE!) and ExpertRAW apps with the comfort of a real keyboard and mouse. A number of YT reviewers complained about the battery life. Gee, I'm running video games and movies all day, why does the battery suck? Even then, they reported that it could run all day. I'm happy to report that with the light duty of phone, text, some GPS, and other odds and ends, the battery life is great. Down 20-30% after a day of that kind of use. The Samsung Camera app is thorough and easy to use. I say this having tried other camera apps, and even a short lived Pixel 8 phone. I ditched that in less than a day, the camera app was SO clunky. Then in the hardware background, the Ultra claims to have a larger sensor...this is always good...than its S22 cousins and with a higher pixel count. 108MP? Wow. My first digital camera had 2.1MP. The S pen and note feature is amazing and I'm just starting to learn all of its capabilities. The phone updated to Android 14 and 6.1 OneUI w/o issue. Samsung guarantees several more years of OS upgrades and seven years of security upgrades. The summary is that for only the third time in 25 years do I love a phone and not just tolerate it. I can't imagine someone not liking this phone, and the differences between this and the just out S25 are not worth $1000 bucks. ... show more

  • Thank you!
Service provider: AT&T Color: Phantom Black Size: 512GB
Phone works perfectly. I waited to do this review because I was skeptical on buying electronics that weren't brand new. (There are a lot of dishonest people out there.) Luckily I was pleasantly delivered a perfectly working phone that does exactly what the manufacturer says it does. The picture quality is impressive. The screen is crystal clear. I do not like the curved edges as it makes exiting some things a challenge. DO NOT USE A SCREEN PROTECTOR IF YOU WANT THE FINGERPRINT READER TO WORK! Also keep screen clean for best results with fingerprint scanner. The battery lasts all day for minimum use, as I am a mechanic and have computers at work. This seems to me to be an honest seller delivering a quality product. Save some money and give them a shot. ... show more

  • Service dips and and out Service dips and and out
Service provider: Unlocked Color: Phantom Black Size: 128GB
In the ever-evolving world of smartphones, each new release promises groundbreaking features, enhanced performance, and an overall seamless user experience. The s22 Ultra seems to check all the boxes on paper: sleek design, impressive hardware specs, and an array of standout features that make it an attractive option for tech enthusiasts. However, despite these strengths, there’s one glaring flaw that undermines the overall experience—poor service connectivity. From the moment you unbox the s22 you are greeted with a premium aesthetic. The build quality is solid, with a glass back and metal frame that feels both luxurious and sturdy. The screen, with its vibrant OLED display, offers a sharp and immersive viewing experience, while the compact form factor makes it easy to hold and use for extended periods. The device is undeniably a treat for the eyes and hands, reflecting a level of craftsmanship that you would expect from a high-end smartphone. When it comes to a smartphone, one of the most fundamental features is its ability to maintain a stable network connection—whether for calls, texting, or data. The s22 struggles in this department, with inconsistent service and frustrating connectivity problems that make using the device for basic communication tasks a challenge. ... show more

  • It's an upgrade for me
I was a little apprehensive spending more on a used phone than I spent on my new OnePlus 6T 4 years ago. I'd done the research and decided on the Galaxy S22 Ultra (mostly for the phone capabilities) but wasn't willing to spend $1200, so I took a chance on a refurb unit. I've had it for a couple days now and I can say it was one of my better purchases. The phone arrived a day early, well packaged, and included the phone(w/37% battery charge), an adaptive fast charger, a cheap usb c charging cable, and sim removal tool. After close inspection, the phone showed no signs of prior ownership. It was in pristine condition just like new. It started right up and I got through the setup process. Being an unlocked phone,I figured I could just throw in my Cricket sim card and be ready to go. Cricket recognized the phone straight away, reminded me to turn on wireless calling, and I was back in business. Now let's get it charged up. I plugged in my OP6T usb c cable and powerpack out of habit and started messing with settings when I ran across the battery settings. It showed 2 hour, 13 minutes until fully charged. Ok, lets try the included charger and cable. I setup the included charging rig and the charging time was reduced to 42 minutes. Sweet!... until it wasn't. With the phone fully charged, I went to unplug the charger only to find it stuck in the phones usb port. No amount of wiggling in any direction would free it. Time to turn to Google for a solution. Not much help there other than someone suggesting sending the phone in for charging port replacement after suggesting the fast charger combined with a cheap cable may have allowed an arc to form in the port effectively "welding" the cable to the port. Panic set in as I resumed the wiggling process. I finally decided to pull harder and dislodge it, whatever the outcome. It came out finally. I plugged in my "good" cable and it showed "charged" so I knew it was working. I quickly disposed of the cheap usb cable so it could cause to more harm. Crisis averted. I can tell that the signal reception is much better than I had with my old phone. My old phone had good early morning reception where I work but it was shut down at 9:30 A.M. for the rest of the day. I was happy to see that was no longer the case with this phone. I had useable signal even inside the building. That in itself is huge to me. This a is a large phone. I work construction and wear carpenter jeans (with the pocket on the right leg) and all my previous phones slid right in that pocket with a slim case. This phone will barely fit naked. With the case I bought for it, it won't even begin to fit. Luckily the Unicorn Beetle Pro case has the belt clip so I can still carry it while at work... although I'm not a fan of the belt clip method. The case is very protective but makes the phone even huge(er). I have a slim case on order. The phone itself is fast, responsive and beautiful with more bells and whistles than any phone I've owned to date. It's going to take some time to start learning the tips and tricks that make this phone stand out from the crowd, otherwise it's a waste of this phones "talent". I'm hoping my luck and the longevity of the phone will keep this as my daily driver for years to come as Samsung has promised four generations of One UI and Android OS upgrades. (tl:dr) It's a big glorious phone sent safely at a good price. IMO... if you can swing the price, don't hesitate. ... show more

  • Known network connection issue horrible return policy
Service provider: Unlocked Color: Phantom White Size: 512GB
Absolute worst experience I have ever had with Amazon or a seller. I was so excited when my phone came in it looked perfect everything seemed great. Not one single visible imperfection until I installed my SIM card. Then nothing. The phone would not connect on any network we tried Att, Verizon, T-Mobile, Google Fi, and Visible. I put the same SIM cards in my brother's identical phone and his worked fine. I connected the phone to Wi-Fi magically the network connects and says the device is registered on Verizon network. No matter where I went regardless of which network or SIM, (ESIM or physical we tried both) the phone would not work on any network without being connected to Wi-Fi.(I live in a rural area our only options are satellite) After research I found this was a known issue with this device I reached out to the seller and got a standard automated message. No help at all. I reached out to Amazon where was told I would have to return the item. I let them know that was not financially feasible for me I needed to do an exchange. Amazon said they would reach out to the seller & find out if an exchange would be available. I was told no, I need to reach out to the seller myself to try and work something out. I reached out to the seller they responded with an obvious automated template explaining again that it would be up to Amazon. This phone was purchased out of necessity because my 22+ had a cracked screen and was showing obvious signs of impending death. The day after I transferred all of my information from my 22+ to the 22Ultra my 22+ succumbed to nearly 3 years of daily use. This phone is not a luxury item to me but a necessity for work and school. If nearly $500 is a substantial amount of money to you I highly suggest looking into Amazon's return policy and the seller's responsiveness. Also their ability to correct their mistakes without putting undue financial on someone who's only mistake was not thoroughly researching the seller's and Amazon's policies . Again the phone looked fantastic. The camera functioned as it should. The phone registered on the Verizon network every time I was connected to Wi-Fi. I would receive all of the text messages. As soon as I left Wi-Fi the phone said no network and emergency calls only. This may be a one off with this seller their reviews are great but unfortunately I received a dud & no customer service to go with it. Still waiting on acknowledgement of my return. Amazon can see it was delivered to them but not picked up. Their tracking shows I haven't even picked it up. ... show more

Service provider: Unlocked Color: Burgundy Size: 512GB
Phone arrived in great condition looking pretty much still new. It worked great with my T-Mobile sim and has been great so far. When buying a renewed phone from Amazon look at the store that it's coming from and check it's reviews because each phone comes from different sellers and some are better than others. This phone was my second one that I ordered because the first one had to be returned, it kept dropping signal even though it looked like a perfect phone. I would definitely order another phone from the seller. ... show more
