I bought a refurbished Galaxy S22 Ultra through Amazon, and while I’m all for giving tech a second life, this one clearly didn’t get a proper checkup. The front-facing camera was blurry right out of the box—like Vaseline-on-the-lens blurry—and within a week, it stopped working entirely. It wasn’t the phone’s fault. The S22 Ultra is a solid device when it actually works. But this experience made it clear: I won’t be buying another refurbished phone through Amazon. If I go refurbished again, it’ll be directly from Samsung, where I can trust it’s been tested and actually works like it should. I bought this phone about a week ago, and it's great, everything about it i love. But it's just I'm not sure why I cannot get signal in certain areas of in the city. And all I did was just switch the SIMs card from my old phone to this one. So if ANYONE can help me and give me advice, I would surely appreciate it. I Had my reservations when ordering but when I received my phone it was in mint condition and the battery health was at 99% can't ask for much more. The only caveat is when I powered on the phone the splash screen popped up Verizon the is unlocked but not a unlocked phone. I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased, but I needed a phone and wanted it hassle free and unlocked. Phone arrived with cracked backing, but I tried to get it working in the meantime because I was desperate for a phone. The problems just increased; it wouldn't pick up my carrier network. Antenna signal strength was next to none, and battery was crap. Closer observation of the phone also revealed the inside of the lens and charging port looked grimy and dirty. It's been four days of hell. I finally caved and went to Best Buy and bought a new phone outright for hundreds more. This is the first or second review I've ever written as usually I'm pretty forgiving, but the pain and price really drove me to this time. ... show more

Using the phone right now to actually text up this review it does a really good job all the functions are there the only weird thing that I found out was when I took it out the box maybe the battery was discharged a bit because it wouldn't charge initially but after plugging in the charger a few times and starting up the charger speeds it just started charging regularly every day from then on which is about a few months now it's pretty fast phone has a decent amount of memory and a pretty good value for the money if you want to break into the AI market on the phone side without spending so much. ... show more

First off, I’m knocking down two stars right away because it didn’t even come with a SIM card removal tool. Took me 7 hours to find something small enough and strong enough to open the tray. That alone had me absolutely irritated and mad — a basic item that should’ve been included. As far as the looks of the phone, it was in rough shape. Major wear and tear on the bottom — the paint looked rubbed off and faded, showing gray instead of black along the bottom bezel. There was some horrible sticker slapped on the back that I still can’t fully remove, no matter how much I scrub. It looked like someone used it hard, slapped a wipe on it, and called it “refurbished.” Battery life? Terrible. My old phone — which had less battery capacity — outlasts this one by hours. So clearly, no real battery replacement was done. It feels like they just cleaned it up with a little rubbing alcohol and shipped it out. As for performance, it gets hot pretty fast and sometimes lags even with basic tasks. And don’t even get me started on the fingerprint reader — works when it wants to, and that's not often. This phone is clearly not “gently used” or “certified refurbished” — it's more like “barely salvaged.” If you're expecting quality control or care in presentation, look elsewhere.
