  • Pretty great! Pretty great!
So I had my S10 forever and finally decided to get an upgrade. I'm someone that /has/ to read the reviews before I buy a large priced item, and luckily for me I saw another commenter going from the same phone as my old one! For anyone else still using an s10 or similar, I would highly recommend this phone. It's hard to tell how it is when you first get it, as it takes about 2 weeks for the 'starting a new technology' headache to go away, but I can safely say this phone is a good match. There is no new issues, and it's not terrible different than my old phone besides where the buttons on the side are placed and the camera. It also has higher storage so you don't need an SD card ( not that you could insert one anyways as there is no place) But nothing is perfect so here is an easy to digest cons list for people just skimming: -if you are switching from an s10, the buttons are all on one side, there is no button on the left side for volume or power. -to take a screen shot you have to press the lower volume button and power button at the same time, which is kinda hard to do in the beginning.(my fingers were confused in how to do it and not just shut my phone off) -the act of the screen actually shotting takes like, a solid second more than my old phone, I'm not sure if I can change that or if I'm just taking screen shots of to many memes that I start to notice it. -I've had this problem of phone calls cutting out when I'm driving in other areas where it was fine with my old phone. I'm not sure if this is the phone or my provider, but my realitive told me to have the wifi off when driving and that seems to help a lot. She said it had something to do with the phone trying to search for a wifi, I don't know. I don't care. It seems fixed now and I live in a rural area so it can't be helped all the time. -this is a pro to me but could be a con to others: this phone is smaller than an s10. It fits in my hand better. -THERE IS NO AUX INPUT. If I had wired headphone there is no where for me to put them. I can't listen to music in my car with the aux cord anymore, and I don't know how to just make the music play from my stereo through Bluetooth so that upsets me greatly. I can actually hear myself sing in the car now and I hate it. -no SD slot but this phone has mote storage so you shouldn't need it. There you have it, please consider any of these if you want. Another pro that I really wanna hype on is the camera! I love space and have been interested in astrophotography for years. With this phone I was actually able to take a good picture of the moon and....get this...the STARS!!!! I will attach photos for ref ... show more

  • 3rd Time was the Charm!
I wanted an S22 with 256gb because, in an Otter Defender case it is only 1/8" longer than my S10e in its Defender, but would have dual SIM capability, and 5G. I also wanted it to have WiFi calling via my provider, T-Mobile. I bought reconditioned T-mo version here, but NOBODY could unlock it, so I returned it. I then went to Samsung and bought a T-mo version from them--who MAKES it for T-Mobile. But neither T-Mo nor Samsung could unlock it either! Finally, I bought an unlocked reconditioned phone here and found it CAN do Wifi calling with the T-Mo SIM. Different colors had different prices so I went for the cheapest listed in Excellent condition. Who Cares what color it is when it's in its Defender???? The SmartSwitch S/W works surprisingly well, which, for Samsung S/W is unusual. Takes about an hour to do the full transfer and even some of the App P/Ws transfer--but not all. It can talk to OneDrive, Google Drive, and even my local network drive. But Samsung's "Link To Windows" where you're supposed to be able to use your PC to access phone functions is more typical of Samsung S/W--garbage. It jammed up my PC and I had to clear it out and do a cold start to fix it. Why Samsung can make AWESOME hardware, especially their cameras and dreadful garbage S/W is beyond me, but that's Samsung! The only physical thing "wrong" is that with a screen protector, the fingerprint reader is spotty. I turned on the special Sensitivity switch, and re-entered all my fingerprints--both index fingers and thumbs--and it still is somewhat difficult to work. Definitely a let-down from the S10E where it works perfectly every time with no effort. Now it's about as reliable as an iPhone or iPad, which is...not very. Overall, I'm delighted with this phone, my 3rd try. BTW, the newest Otter Box Defender is thinner, has a silver lining that kills bacteria and viruses, but does make wireless charging a bit more iffy. It works on one brand of charger, but not another. Update: Reading reviews of the S23, I'm really, REALLY glad I bought the renewed S22. There are tiny improvements over the S22, but nothing I'm ever going to notice, and the price differential--WHOA! $800 vs just over $400--the renewed in excellent condition is, IMHO, indistinguishable from a new phone. ... show more

  • Stellar Seller!
SAMSUNG Galaxy S22 5G 256GB phone is like new. Not a mark on the beautiful green case or screen. I had an issue with the screen going dark after transferring all apps & files & thought the phone was defective. Contacted Amazon C/S who contacted the seller. Received a response from the seller within 24 hrs offering to replace the phone. In the meantime I did some troubleshooting & found an old app that was the culprit. Reported back to seller that the phone was working great & I wanted to keep it. This phone has worked like a "well-tuned machine" since 4/10/2023! No issues with battery life (I shop a lot). I highly recommend this seller AND this refurbished phone. ... show more

  • Battery Stopped charging after 5 months
Device worked fine for about 5 months, after that, it stopped receiving a charge- didn't matter what charger I used to charge it, wall socket, power strip, original charger, new charger, turned it off and on, factory reset, nothing you can think of worked so anybody, including the seller if you think I haven't done it, don't even waste your time thinking I haven't heard and tried it all already. Many phones have problems with power in general, but this is ridiculous.... now this phone is so much less than the price I paid so you know at least it won't damage your wallet as much as it did mine if you buy it anyway but then eh... ..... so thanks for what should be a rental phone at this point I guess....... Also, I'm not sure why facial recognition is a value add for the device.... I could give a damn less about it and more shouldn't care about this but I guess to each their own...... ... show more

  • Refurbished is the way to go!
This phone is the second I have personally purchased from Amazon as refurbished, and my husband has also purchased his last two from this program as well. This phone was shipped within hours of placing the order, arrived as scheduled, and was packaged appropriately to protect the product. It came with a outlet charger, a USB C cable, and a pin to open the SIM card slot. It was as described, being an international version of an unlocked phone and thus having Dual SIM capacity (important for me!). There were no scratches anywhere on the phone and it is operating "like new." I rated only 4 stars for battery life and fingerprint login because I have found that the battery does not always make it through the day, especially if I am taking lots of photos or on my phone extensively. Although this makes sense, I wish the battery capacity could accommodate these daily necessities to a higher degree. The fingerprint login was almost impossible at first when I applied the screen protector, but has improved over time somehow. I did change the settings to be extra sensitive to touch for the screen protector, but it continues to glitch sometimes. The edges of the keyboard are also not as sensitive as they could be with the screen protector on. Overall, I will buy only refurbished in the future and this seller was true to their word! Bravo for a great (good as) new phone! ... show more

  • Poor battery life
*updated to 1 star* Phone is activated and in use now. Fully charged over night. Took it to work. Checked social media a couple times, googled a couple things. Talked to a friend on my lunch. No crazy usage, just normal. It's now 2:20pm and the battery is at 28%... it will be completely dead by the time I get home from work at 6:30pm 🤦♀️ ... show more

  • From S9 to S22, good purchase else wait for S24 price to fall
Fingerprint reader is terrible, finally disabled it. The screen time for my S9 vs s22 is almost the same even with my s9 at 70% of its battery capacity versus 91% of received S22. Keeping the s22, purchased for 1/3 of brand new price. Appears S22 was just "just get it out the door" decision by Samsung. Camera is a little better. 5G capable. RCS chat capable. Otherwise mediocre. No external memory card. New releases should be improve not devolve!!! ... show more
