  • Perfect.

I paid a few bucks more to purchase from Chubbiestech based on a review and to avoid any problems. (Reading about the A10 reviews was scaring me until I realized I was reading the wrong product lol.) This is for the Samsung Galaxy S10e. Being from the S- product line, it's Samsung's flagship product and you can read the history and differences between the models on Wikipedia. I found this information very helpful. I lucked out with the right Seller and got a phone that really seems brand new and works excellent in every way. (A previous purchase of a different model and seller was excellent in every way but then we discovered it wouldn't charge.) I'm so happy I bought this! Pros Mine was in new condition without a scratch, and functions perfectly in every way. I was able to load SmartSwitch on my old J7 and only had to manually download a matching icon set (and create a new Samsung account to download it.) Everything else (including my custom wallpaper from an outside source) transferred exactly. I wanted a smaller profile/screen because I really loved my J7 and can easily operate it with one hard. I find modern phones too large and heavy and I'm not a gamer. The S10e's profile is surprisingly *smaller* than the J- series and fit my desire. Could easily fit inside a shirt pocket. It runs way faster than my old phone and I verified with DevCheck that it does indeed have 6 Gigs of Ram. That's more than I ever had before and so it seems real speedy and capable to me and also 128 Gigs of space is way more than I ever thought of using. I mostly only use my phone as a music source and the sound quality thru my headphones is superb, like my J7 which I prefer to the modern soundboards that I have to tweak; I don't have to use the equalizer on this and the bass is great. The Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, screentouch and call quality (and charging) all work great. The mobile data connection on my old sim for some reason is much faster (30M??) on 4GLTE and the upload speed is 3x my old phone too, I can't imagine why. But the connection with the same service is just stronger and has much better coverage. I didn't realize it was the old phone limiting it. That's like broadband over 4G lol. I simply slipped in my old Sim and it connected with no problem or troubleshooting. Anyway the S- series hardware of this phone is superb. Mine came with Android 12 which I understand is the highest available for this model. My J7 was stuck in Android 8. I didn't want to upgrade to a phablet nor pay a lot for features I didn't want to begin with. Caveats/Tips I never used a case before but this phone is so small (yay!) AND slippery I needed to buy a case. Don't want to drop it and scratch the screen because my big clumsy fingers can't hold onto it. I don't have a problem navigating the screensize. Had to manually customize icons after installing everything. This requires a Samsung account. (You can delete it from Accounts afterward if you wish.) If you use Smart Switch to transfer and duplicate your experience from your old phone you need to unpair the devices listed under Bluetooth and re-pair them for them to work on your new phone. Many/Most of your programs transferred and websites will require you to log-in again (so you'll need your passwords) but the data (pics/docs/program files) transferred without a hitch. (You can download Smart Switch on your old phone from Google Play.) My phone has the annoying T-mobile start-up screen (less annoying if you turn the sound off) but it doesn't harm anything functionally. Samsung apps preinstalled cannot be uninstalled or disabled. However Google apps can be. The battery is small (3100) but I'm used to that from the J7. I tried a larger capacity battery in my J7 but became impatient with the charging time so actually prefer the quick charging of these. This review is obviously for folks who may not have done this before or are doubtful about the quality of the renewed product. I'm totally happy with the new phone and the process of setting it up was seamless. Definitely worth it and you saved a lot of money! (Now you can peruse the internet and modern apps like the Joneses! :) Update: It's a bit too small to be honest, and very SLIPPERY, however still prefer this to the large ones. Wish they still made J-size. But everything works great, sounds great and I'm getting 50M download on LTE! All I do is listen to music so it's fine for my needs. Great price for a fast phone. ... show more

I'm not very tech savvy but I'll give information to the best of my understanding. This is the most I've ever spent on a phone which speaks to the depth of which I use a cell phone. The phone I was using previously only had 32G of storage so I had to delete some apps in order to install apps I needed for a band that I recently joined. I cracked the screen on that phone 3 weeks ago so I began looking for another one. I did some research and this phone seemed to check all the boxes, especially where memory and price is concerned. I received it in a little over a week. It was securely packaged and upon opening it I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't have so much as a smudge on it. It looked new! I got it up and running in a short time with no difficulty. It had approximately 50% charge which dwindled rather quickly and became quite warm during the setup process. I've been using it for a little over a week and have had no significant issues other than it getting warm at times and keeping a short charge. I don't use it more than a couple of hours throughout the day and it is at -20% every evening. It does however charge rather quickly. Overall I am very satisfied with it. It's nice having more memory than I will ever use considering that I have an SD card for pictures, videos, music, etc. I just hope that the heating issue doesn't become problematic. ... show more

I had the first issue of the collaboration between Samsung and Google, 11 years ago, on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone. I loved that phone but it was huge and heavy. I still have it in a drawer lol. I had no qualms about trying a refurbished phone that was originally issued in 2019. I use refurbished equipment a lot, because I'm cheap. I just want to say that this one was really well done. I've had no problems with performance, features, even the case was unscratched and looked brand new. Thank you for that. I don't use face recognition because I don't trust it. In any phone. I don't even recommend it. I do use the fingerprint reader. This is an area where I think it is a user issue - meaning me. I'm used to a fingerprint reader that's on the back of the phone. This reader is on the side of the phone and I had trouble just hitting it straight on. I still get pop-ups that say please try to hit the entire sensor. I finally started using my thumb and that works better for me. Granted, it's not the hand I hold the phone in, so I just reach up and scan my thumb. There are features about the scanner itself that are intriguing - you can scroll up or down by moving your thumb across the fingerprint reader in an up and down motion. I really like that! And it also does this thing that I haven't quite figured out how I'm making it happen lol, but if I'm looking at a screen and I hit the sensor in a certain way it drops down my notifications. I really like it and if I can figure out how I can repeat that action I will let you know. I think it's just a tap on the sensor. Since the Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone Samsung has come a long way! As I understand it from data, Samsung is the leader in cell phone ratings for the United States. Samsung has its own set of tools in addition to what comes standard with any Android platform. It took a while to figure out what they were all used for, but once I became familiar with them I just want to say that I really like them! Some of them are a bit of a duplicate, but since Android is not particularly proprietary since it is an open source platform, I just pick and choose which one I like best. For example, I don't much like the Samsung calendar. But I very much like the Samsung clock / alarm. Not too fond of the actual clock look - it's just too small for me. But the alarm features especially where you can choose do not disturb to turn on and off at particular times, excellent! Samsung also has a feature that is similar to Google Assistant but not really. You'd have to use it. It's called Bixby. Bixby does what Google Assistant simply does not - you can tell Bixby what you want it to click on. If you aren't familiar with it, look it up. It is much easier than it sounds but I find it very valuable especially using with Android Auto. If you're already familiar with Samsung phones then this is really old information for you . At the end of the day I should just wrap it up by saying the refurbishment of this phone was well done and I'm very pleased. It acts like a brand new phone. The make and model of this phone I like quite a bit. There's a reason Samsung is so well known for its cell phones. One caveat - when purchasing a refurbished or used item please take care and reading all the fine details. I have purchased refurbished items in the past where a cheaper or less powerful processor or similar piece of equipment has been installed and so the performance is not so great. You have to hunt for that information and you have to know what you're looking for. We are electronics are concerned I cannot emphasize enough that it pays to become educated about all the innards of the devices you were using. And that's it! I feel like I made a great decision and it was a great purchase! ... show more
