I was a little worried and took a video of the unboxing just in case, however, nothing was wrong, my package was unopened and upon turning on the phone it functioned normally and took me through the new phone stuff that you always have to with no issues. Now onto the phone itself. I love it, the camera is great with all sorts of cool features like "single take" I highly recommend trying it out, so cool. The stylus is pretty nifty, I'm still getting the hang of the air commands (you can hover above the screen and do various motions to do different things like go home, back etc, which is cool but idk how much I'll use it. Face recognition works great. The fingerprint also reads well, without a screen protector, I'm currently trying to troubleshoot to get it to work well with the screen protector I got because other people say it works fine with this particular protector but I have to press pretty hard to get it to work, but that's not really the phone's problem.     • Better battery life than an s8
Didn't try the fingerprint reader since I am skeptical of it storing my fingerprints... Haven't tried the facial recognition. Coming from a previous Galaxy s8 user this phone has a better battery life. I used to go to work with a full battery and come home with about 5%-30% battery life depending on whether I used youtube on my breaks(also! crap for signal at work). For the battery life info I never have location on unless I need it. With the s8 location would kill my phone by lunch or last break (10hr work days) I haven't really tested this phone with location but! It does drain the battery slower. The note taking function is what truly sold this kind of phone for me... me, who writes notes on my wrist to remember. You pull the pen out while the phone screen is off and a note area pops up.... love it! Very similar to my fiancée's phone, the note 10, but I am not sure how much different it is since I don't use his phone. ... show more

Many people consider this a half-baked flagship. That may be true, but it doesn't make this a bad phone. It has a large flat display, non-glass back, and a great camera. Pros: It's much more durable with plastic back and flat display. Lighter weight than other similarly sized phones. S-pen is useful. The camera is great for portrait photography. Cons: Higher refresh rate would be nice. I absolutely hate Samsung's software, I'm running rootless Pixel launcher with dark theme and it's excellent. Reasons for not choosing alternatives: I needed a good camera, Verizon compatibility, and a large flat display. If the Note 20 wasn't priced 25% off, I'd have chosen the Galaxy S20 FE. If the Pixel 4A 5G or Pixel 5 had a larger display, I would choose it over any other phone. If the Note 20 Ultra, Motorola Edge+ or OnePlus 8 Pro had a flat display, I would choose one of them over the Note 20 of S20 FE. ... show more

I ordered the Note 20 ultra in black. When I ordered it, I also purchased a case and screen protectors to go along with it. When they arrived, the case and screen protectors did not fit the phone. The case I had originally ordered was just a cheap, clear case so I thought maybe it was just made incorrectly or something. I ordered a different case. That one arrived and also didn't fit the phone at all. I start looking at the phone and realize I had been sent the Note 20 and NOT the Note 20 Ultra like I had thought. ... show more

The last Note to ever be made. Don't miss out on it! Fast processor, excellent camera, excellent graphics. I've owned every Note in the past, and this one definitely carries the the torch well from the last one.

Loving the phone, especially as it doesn't have all those added apps you get when you purchase through a carrier. The battery last long and it charges fast. Only down side is it doesn't have a headphone jack.

Despite the bad reviews, I went ahead and purchased the Galaxy Note 20 and it came in a brand new box and is perfect- no scratches or dents like some of the reviews that I have read. As far as performance wise, it is AWESOME!! Don't let the negative reviews deter you. UPDATE: I AM IN ABSOLUTE AWWW OF HOW AWESOME THIS PHONE IS!! PLEASE DO NOT BE DETERRED BY OTHERS THAT ARE ALLEGING THAT THE PHONE IS NO GOOD. FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF. SO FAR NO PROBLEMS. IF A PROBLEM ARISES, I WILL UPDATE FURTHER.     • DON'T BUY THE PROTECTION PLAN!!!
The phone itself is GREAT! I love it and will use it until it falls apart! But the protection plan is a ripoff!! Both times I have tried to use it, the "service fee" of $159 is more than the cost of buying the replacement part and fixing it myself.
