This is an update after a little over 2 weeks of use. The phone is exactly as described in my original review and I still love it. My original review is unchanged after the line with all the dots on it. Today when I pushed the tab to remove the stylus from the phone, it broke. The stylus was still attached to the push-button end by an internal spring, and I was able to get it out of the phone. BUT now I'll have to replace it, and the "real" replacements far from cheap while the cheap ones (from their reviews) appear to be poor copies which have their own problems. FWIW I know 6 other people with the same phone, and 4 of them have had exactly the same problem. Now back to my original review. ....................................... I would give this phone a higher rating, but Amazon limits the count to five.... I was thinking about ten :) I had been using my old Note 8 for a couple of years (a refurb from my carrier, BTW) when the phone suddenly could no longer receive or send phone calls. Text messages were OK, though and I limped along for a couple of days until I could take it in for repairs. Luckily the shop "owes" me (I set up and run their data processing/database stuff), and they did an estimate on the repair. In a word the repair was to replace the guts of the phone, or better yet just to replace it (as the repair cost sounded like the federal budget for a small country. (OK, that's an exaggeration, but was more than I had paid for the phone in the first place.) So I decided to find a new phone. Now I really loved the Note 8, and my initial thought was to find a Note 10+ with 5G. That is, that WAS my plan until I started pricing them. Sigh. Now before I bought this phone at Amazon, I did try the various listings a other vendors (OK, I a cheapskate), but almost every one of them was asking almost this much (and up to $300 more) for a refurbished phone "in 'like-new' condition". And that like-new condition at 3 or 4 of them includes scratches, pushbuttons that stick, and lots of other undesirable "extras" which would have left me wishing I had never bought one of those "like-new" refurbs. Sigh After looking all of those I came back to Amazon again and at that phone I (finally!) noticed that this Note 9 was a NEW phone, not a refurb. So I bought it immediately and it came yesterday (exactly as Amazon had scheduled when I ordered it), and let me make this clear: THIS IS A BRAND SPANKING NEW PHONE, IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX, WITH ALL OF THE ORIGINAL PAPERWORK AND ACCESSORIES JUST AS IF I HAD GONE THE MY CARRIER'S PHONE STORE AND BOUGHT IT THERE. PERIOD. (That is, IF AT&T, VERISON, and just about every other carrier is completely out of them) I transferred the sim card from my old phone to this one, and it began making and receiving phone calls immediately without my having to contact my carrier to do ANYTHING. With other carriers, YMMV. I've had it for a few days now, and I absolutely love it. I transferred ALL of my photos /videos (12gb+) , music (9gb+), and some important (to me, anyway) docs (14gb+/-) to a microsd card there, and I also got ALL of my watch faces, important apps, etc. (the ones which are not easily downloadable on line anyway) and it is running without a hint of a glitch. I'm just sorry that I wasted almost a week before I bought it. My wife is now thinking about getting one of these as well, and I'll let her do her own review when/if that happens. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PHONE TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS TO REPLACE HIS/HER/(its?) PRESENT PHONE, AND I WOULD DO SO WITH NO HESITATION WHATSOEVER.

Fingerprint reader on the back under the camera and when I try to put my finger I touch camera, very inconvenient place. The rest is OK. Battery life is very good.

My wife's samsung 8 died so I decided to get her the same phone I already had for 3 years the note 9. I got her this phone because I never had a clitch, or any problems with my note 9. Well she loves the new phone but now I'm mad because it waw half the price I paid.

I am disappointed due to battery life.I wanted a battery that lasts,battery drains to 60% after fully charged and only used it for browsing online for 10-15min, not even watching any videos or anything else. I was really excited about the phone, and now I am so disappointed. Everything else is fine I guess.
