Description

The Note 9 has twice as much storage as the Note 8, which means more music, more videos, more pictures, and less worry when it comes to space on your phone. The Note 9 gives you a quick network connection for incredibly fast streaming and downloading, so you can do more, uninterrupted. Still amazing on screen, but now the S-Pen has more power off screen. • I Bought This as a Gap Phone...and It Worked Out Great!
I knew this phone was older, but I wasn't sure about the newer products, so I bought this phone and it worked out great for me. Over time the battery wasn't holding the charge as long, but I was expecting that. It held up well and I am finally moving to a newer phone, but this worked out great as a gap phone! ... show more

  • Phone broke after 10 days.
So, ordered the phone, came in looking great, in fact it looked brand new. It did however make a weird noise if you shook it. I told my wife this was probably the battery as is was a "renewed" phone and the battery had probably been replaced and they just forgot to glue it down. Well ten days later my wife picked the phone up off the counter and to her surprise it didn't work anymore, it would not charge, it would not cut on. I contacted the seller, asking several questions as to what my course of action was for getting the phone repaired. They simply replied back, "Remove all my personal data from the phone and to initiate a return and send us the phone." This was very unhelpful because I had all of her info on the phone including like banking accounts, crypto accounts and photos and the phone literally wouldn't do anything, I had no way to remove my personal info off the phone and they made it seem as though I wouldn't be receiving the same phone back. We exchanged emails for several days, I even told them about the noise inside the phone and that I thought it was likely a battery that had been replaced, they told me that the phone I ordered hasn't had a battery replacement done on it. They could of offered me an option of taking it somewhere to get it looked at and just reimbursing me, but that wasn't an option either. Long story short, they didn't do much to help me. I ended up taking the chance of keeping a defective phone by taking it apart and seeing what I could fine was wrong with it. It ended up being the battery, which had been changed out and was not an original Samsung battery, nor was it glued down just as I had suspected. Whatever battery was installed wasn't the same size as the original battery and with it moving like it was in the phone it ended up breaking the ribbon cable that was attaching the battery to the main circuit board. I went ahead and ordered a battery and installed it myself and the phone was back to working. I haven't had any trouble with the phone since then. I would also like to add that I used the Amazon phone trade in program for my old phone that was being replaced in order to received a discount on the new phone. I answered the questions honestly and was given a $40 gift card. Shipped my phone to Amazon. Two weeks later it came back with a letter saying they deemed it unrepairable and told me I would be charged for the $40 that I was given as a gift card. While the phone did have a broken screen (which is one of the questions they ask and I answered truthfully) the letter said that internal components or piece were missing from the phone. (this was not true). The phone fully worked it just had a broken screen. This was upsetting because had i not of been told about the $40 credit from Amazon to begin with, I probably would of ordered the new phone on eBay as they were cheaper. Just wanted people to be aware of all of this. ... show more

  • It was actually an SM-N960U1 which is the full unlocked version, not a Verizon SM-N960U version.
But it works. I'd rather have a non-flavored phone than a Verizon bloatware phone. The home button on the right side of the phone seems to be slightly less springy than usual, but it's a refurb so you get what you get. Battery is OK, considering it's 3+ years old. I wiped the partition cache before I did anything else. Came with a generic charger and brick in a generic box, but that's to be expected. These companies definitely need to start being very specific about the model you're buying. The SM-N960U1 is absolutely not the same as an SM-N960U. I'm glad it wasn't an AT&T phone. It makes a difference when you use Verizon simcard on an AT&T phone, namingly the use of wifi-calling. It's not an option if you use another carrier's simcard/phone mix. ... show more

  • Just like new
I know Amazon does not say which seller you bought from, so I'll say I bought my renewed Galaxy Note 9 from Re-Cell and I 1000% recommend to buy from them! I was very hesitant to buy a renewed phone, especially from Amazon where it's such a mixed bag. I'm glad to say I'm pleasantly surprised! I couldn't even tell the phone was ever used except for the fact that it was turned on in the box when I first opened it. The box itself was honestly impressive, it looked exactly like the galaxy note 9 box but with the seller's logo instead of Samsung's. I should also mention that it is listed as a Verizon unlocked phone, but came unlocked for all carriers! In terms of the phone, there were no scratches, dents or anything of the like. Everything is fully functional. The S-pen is the original Samsung one. No problems with call quality, wifi connectivity, etc. The charger isn't the original, but again looks like a replica of the original. I had a bit of an issue with getting the charger to fast charge the phone, every few minutes the screen would light up as it would stop and then start charging again. However, I have a few other fast charging adapters and cables, so this wasn't a big deal. The seller even included headphones! Nothing amazing, but enough to go above and beyond the Amazon listing. Again, I bought this phone from Re-Cell and can't verify the condition of the device you would get from another seller. But with the money back guarantee, I would recommend buying this phone and returning it if the condition is bad. You really can't beat the price. ... show more

  • I love this phone!
It was time to replace my faithful Galaxy S5. It was a refurb from Amazon, and it served me well. After a lot of research I knew I wanted a Samsung Note. I compared features and decided the cost difference between a "9" and a "10" would mean I was getting the "9." Next step, where would I get the best deal on my chosen model? I selected another refurb from Amazon and feel like I got a great deal and a great phone. It arrived earlier than anticipated. It was well-packaged and arrived in good condition. The phone looks brand new. There are no scratches, dings, dents, or other signs that this was a used phone. The things people should know about buying a phone this way are, first, read the description and know what you will and won't get. I knew I would need to go to Verizon, get a sim, and get service transferred. Second, you probably won't get any manual or documentation. I found a manual online. I love this phone. I have fun with the S-pen. The camera is amazing. I posted a photo and people thought it was by a professional. I have so much memory and I can add more. Battery life is good. Iam very happy with my purchase. ... show more
