  • Mini Powerhouse
Everyone wants the S20/S20 Ultra but this phone is has so many features! PROS Multi-task: I've always wanted a phone that could minimize apps or have multiple screens, and this phone has both capabilities, like a computer! Also has transparency adjustment so you can see past an active miniature screen. Multitasking is a breeze. Speed: with 12 gigs this phone launches apps effortlessly. I like to keep it below 5 gigs to preserve the battery. Charge: this charges so fast! In two minutes i can have 5% from my wall charger. Depending on current usage, it'll fully charge in about an hour. It also shares power fairly quickly. Camera: Powerful selfie and rearview cameras with lots of customizations (wish the night mode was better but it gets basics done better than my previous phone) Stylus: awesome. I can draw in SNotes or other apps in great detail, which for me is kinda better than using a drawing tablet for now. Don't really use the S-air actions though Audio: Clear speakers from both ends. Able to customize based on your auditory needs Size: i have small hands so i have a popsocket and a rubber phone wallet for added friction. For my activities it's so helpful to have a good amount of space Undo for text messages! PRO/CON Price: if you can't go for the S20 lineup, this will be in your price range. I got this in mint condition from a 3rd party seller. If you want the amazon support, though, wait a few months for the price to drop Bluetooth volume: My previous phone had its volume and bluetooth devices separate for each other, which gave me greater control for the softness and loudness of media. The S10, depending on if your bluetooth allows it, will just increase the volume as one. That sometimes helps me for higher volumes, but it's also bad when I'm looking for it to be lower as I try to fall asleep. CONS Battery: will wear down much more quickly than you'd think. Even while using medium power-saving mode, the battery will still drain kinda fast. Clear memory and unused apps to limit waste. If you stay out for long hours, consider a powerbank. However the multiple charges will decrease its life Stylus: The nib will wear down a bit if you use it alot for heavy pressure-sensitive activities. There are replacement pens on amazon. Additionally, i have an otterbox commuter, and it keeps my phone protected so well. But be warned: the S-pen will pop out a bit if you drop it from a far enough height. It doesn't slide all the way out unless you lightly drag it, but you can lose your pen that way. The proximity alert is supposed to let you know when you're out of range, but i've only seen it tell me when i last used it only after looking that up in the settings Summary: such a great phone. Can't see myself upgrading anytime soon ... show more

  • Best phone I've owned so far.
So I've had this phone a few months now and I can say it's the best phone I've ever owned. I don't use the pen much, but the people that could make use of it will likely be thrilled. I've become more attached to using the voice recognition technology (Only google) and I have never had it misunderstand a word. Battery- The battery life is pretty good considering I never turn on power saving mode, and I am on it 10+ hours a day, and it's consistently at 20% by the time I leave work. Camera- I don't take many pictures. They do seem to get kinda blurry but that's likely because I suck at taking them. Taking a photo of a document is neat as it removes the angle of the photo so it looks like a scanned copy, but with photo quality. Also the hole-punch camera is easy to get used to. When you're watching videos it can get annoying, but you can change a setting so the display is under the camera at the cost of a few millimeters of screen size. Fingerprint- The in-screen fingerprint reader is flawless. It's tricky to find the spot for it without enabling always on display, but after a while it feels very natural. Display- Screen is beautiful. I don't need to say more. Protective advice- I never drop my phone, but whatever carrier you have (Verizon being the most optimum for this), get their monthly protection plan. Also, the sticker that the phone comes with is adequately scratch resistant. My phone is always in my front pocket though, and never with anything else. I just use a cheap case and no protective glass. Overall- Great phone. I have mixed feelings about the camera but it's possible I'm not using it correctly. The battery life is good in modern standards. Fantastic preformance and display. 8/10 overall. I would not go for any lower galaxy flagship model over this. ... show more

  • A great phone that will get better with updates
I normally don’t buy flagship phones upon release but decided to get the Note because I have never had the Samsung Note line but can use it’s features.First great thing is the S pen I had no problem figuring out how to use this and now wondering how I ever lived without it.I much prefer using the pen to go though apps and I am actually the type of person who like to scratch out notes on a piece of paper.I just think it stimulates the thinking process, and the pen is great. As far as no headphone jack ,I been wireless for so long now a cord just gets in the way and won’t miss it at all. Android 9 and Samsung UI 1.5 are fine but the new update (whenever it comes ) makes this phone probably the best android you can buy.The photo proximity feature is really cool and useful for doing projects, and the new update will finally get a worthy screen capture of recordings.Something needed on the Samsung line ,along with other improvements.I paired my phone with a Gear S3 watch and this is probably the first time Samsung has not abandoned an older product.I much prefer the Samsung in style looks and notifications along with exercise and paying are really my main watch things. The battery is excellent, the screen is amazing I don’t even notice the little hole. Both fingerprint and facial recognition have worked well with me. Super happy with this phone and would recommend it as a work or personal phone to anyone in Android/Samsung universe. The smart switch from my S8+ worked very well. And it isn’t too big still fits in a pocket on a front shirt or in the pockets of my travel bags. ... show more
