I have had Samsung phones for about 15 years. I have loved every one of them in their own way. My current phone is no different, I just enjoy having a decent quality piece of tech in my hands. While I have a traditional Kodak camera, I use the camera built into my phone as my primary camera. With a 64MP main lens, I can shoot crisp clear photos whenever I want. I don't worry about whether or not a picture is quality enough to have it enlarged and applied to canvas, I recently took a two week jaunt in the Colorado Rockies and have had every picture come out sharp. I also love the macro lens, it too produces great sharp pictures. As far as tech goes, this baby is blazing fast! I don't have to sit for up to several minutes waiting for the phone to connect to the network. Loaded with all the software needed to get started, you can be up and ready to go in a short time after unboxing! The phone has decent volume and sound, though I wish there was a way to adjust sound settings like an equalizer. A tad bit more base would be pleasant when listening to music or audiobooks. This particular model was refurbished to save me money. I'm happy with the warranty, any cosmetic issues with the appearance were either fixed or nonexistent.     • Great phone for the price!
I switched from the S series over to the A series and I'm so thankful I did! This phone is just as good quality for like half the price! I'm loving the camera! It's better than my S9 was! 64MP main lens. Only downside is you can't zoom in with that kind of quality, but I wouldn't expect that out of a phone anyways. I've briefly tested out the other features of the camera. The slow motion video is cool! I was nervous about it working with AT&T since I saw mixed reviews about that, but I can attest that it does in fact work with AT&T. It was easy to switch. I just put my SIM card in and that was that. I used smart switch to transfer my data and everything transferred over correctly. The phone itself is a little bigger than what I've been used to, but I'm getting used to it. The touch receptivity is good. The fingerprint only works about 75% of the time, but I guess that's a common issue with other phones too. The battery life is great! Like new condition! I used my GPS for 7 hours without charinging and it only used 50% of my battery. The battery lasts all day with moderate to heavy use, depending on what apps you are on. Overall great phone! I'm very pleased with my purchase! So far no complaints. I've had my phone for two weeks now. Shipping was quick as well! It arrived earlier than expected. ... show more

I wanted one of the newest models but can't afford it quite yet. So I got this one instead. I love this thing. Mainly I got this model for the quality of pictures you can take (which are beautiful, by the way), but overall, the phone beat my expectations. It's really fast, really sturdy (I have a toddler that gets hold of it sometimes- enough said), and pretty user friendly (I'm a wiz with computers but phones have always stumped me). I've only tried a few other brands, the last being Motorola, but so far Samsung's definitely in the lead. ... show more

    • Great phone..bait and switch beware!
Purchased 7/2021. Used on ATT service. Everything wonderful until 3g was shut down. Now my 85 year old mother can't call anyone. Multiple trips to ATT. No resolution. Hours of wasted time all to figure out this was NOT a refurbished US phone. It is an international phone that gets shut down when 3g shuts down. DO NOT BUY A NON US PHONE.     • I like the phone, but… it took a bit to get the service up and running.
So this phone has many of the same capabilities of an S10+, EXCEPT (the bad): a) lower pixel density. (lower physical resolution) b) no wireless charging. c) has no support for special 'S' line accessories, like S-view or LED covers or closed cover detection d) quad cameras are great for normal and far (wide), but lacks close up rear-view for zooming in small objects from less than a foot away for details. BUT (the good)… The battery life is better, and will do pretty much the same apps with a unnoticeable difference in performance. Having said that, it's a great phone for most people who don't use any of the things listed. HOWEVER, although the seller is selling these as 'completely unlocked' there's a huge difference. I had returned the first one I got for an exchange because both the first one and the replacement actually are just unlocked sim, but T-MOBILE locked firmware. Why does this matter? Because although you can use any SIM in it, many service features don't work with any other carrier… important features like WiFi calling, visual voicemail, no text messaging (but can be fixed by manual APN), AND especially 5G… NOT because the phone can't, but the software is locked to TMobile/Sprint. And therefore results in 3G like service(worse) if this is not your carrier. UNLESS you are tech savvy and did what I did, and actually flashed the real unlocked bootloader firmware from Samsung or your service provider, using a dealer (bypass firmware check) version of ODIN. Otherwise, no amount of troubleshooting or forced OTA (over the air update) push will fix it. In other words, unless you are going to use the phone on T-Mobile (or Sprint, or their respective pre-paid equivalent), the phone WILL NOT WORK as it should. This is 99% of the people out there, who have no idea how complicated it is to get the correct official software on a locked firmware actually is. In short, make sure you get the actual unlocked phone firmware (SM-A716U1) and not just a phone with carrier locked software (SM-A716U no number 1 in the end)… unless you actually want to use it like a WiFi only device or with very limited service. ... show more

    • Okay phone.
Good phone. Lasted almost two years. It would freeze every now and then (not responding to my touches) and I just had to turn the screen back on and off and it'd work again. But now it's time for, a new phone because the volume button is acting wacky. It likes to turn up and down on its own. 😭
