After reading all the reviews about this phone for several days ... especially the most negative ones, I decided to buy it anyway. When I received the phone, it's condition, printed user guide and packaging, including the charger and usb-c cable appeared "new." Even the plastic bag which it came with stated so. When I powered the unit for the first time it had no problem booting to the setup screen which was in Spanish and indicated that its 5000mAh battery was 50% charged. Although it wasn't difficult to change the language to English, I decided to power it down and wait until it was fully charged before continuing with the setup. This took around 30 minutes to complete. I needed to completely transfer as much of my data, folder, contacts and apps from my old Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime to this Samsung Galaxy A25 5G so I used the free Samsung app from the Google Playstore to accomplish this. The transfer over wifi took a few hours and only left out 5 apps which were relatively unimportant and easilly reloaded to the new phone from the playstore. Trying to save a few bucks, I then tried to switch my sim card from the old phone to the new phone myself. I followed the online instructions provided by Metro by T-Mobile, but this is where I encountered a problem. The IMEI number was not recognized by Metro and suggested I call for assistance. I wondered if the negative comments about this phone not being truly unlocked and not working in North America were true, so I decided to stop at this point and just wait until I could visit the nearest Metro store for help. The following morning, I did so. To my surprise it only took all of under 5 minutes and at a cost of $26.78 for a new sim card plus an activation fee to have me out the door with my old phone number successfully transferred to the new phone. Since then, the Samsung Galaxy A25 5G seems to be functioning just fine. I love how bright and clear the screen is. Its responsive and easy it is to use inspite of the fact that it is light years more advanced that my old one. I'm still learning about all its innovations and how to use it properly. Imagine, within a day of receiving this new phone I went from a smartphone using Android 7.11 OS to Android 14 OS!!! Would anyone believe that had I not needed to switch to an an Android OS of 11+ just to be able to utilize my car's Andro Auto Infotainment System fully, I would still be using my old J7 Prime?! Though not as powerful as the latest Galaxy S or N models, its specs including it's screen, video and multi-camera resolutions, refresh rate, processing unit, tactile response and even its storage expandability are fairly impressive if not respectable at such an affordable prize. If down the road I find anything to dislike or complain about it, I'll be sure to write an addendum to this review. In a nutshell ... I can vouch that this phone works just fine with Metro by T-Mobile cellular carrier in Florida (or at least my neck of the woods, East Central Florida) and can make calls either over wifi or just using cellular data. ... show more

For all intents and purposes I'm certain that the Galaxy A25 is a quality phone that's well worth the money. I can say this confidently in spite of the fact that I had to return this particular phone to Amazon as it was not compatible with my existing phone service. I replaced it with a lesser model Samsung Galaxy phone that has proven very reliable and durable. So how much better must be the A25? Unfortunately, although I was given a receipt by the UPS driver that picked up the Galaxy A25 for return, Amazon never received the returned phone which I did not discover until about 2 months later when I was checking my returns. Hopefully Amazon will eventually reimburse me for that Galaxy A25 phone I purchased. ... show more

I bought this to replace my Samsung Galaxy S20+ which is no longer supported by Samsung this year. I am actually a long term fan of the S series but since I prefer phones with SD cards, I decided to try the A25 .I'm glad I did! The A25 is comparable to the S20+ in terms of performance . The touchscreen was responsive and Internet was fast. Phone calls were clear with no dropped connections. The speakers are not as nice as the S20+ but I can live with that. I bought the international version hoping it has an FM radio tuner. Hooray! It's there! For those unfamiliar with this feature found in some non US phones, this embedded tuner lets you listen to local FM stations even if you don't have Internet access. Very useful in emergency situations!Just insert old school wired earphones in the headphone jack and you're good to go. The wires function as a radio antenna. I am US based and I can confirm it works with AT&T . Just insert your sim card and you're connected ,even if you receive an auto text from AT&T stating this phone is not compatible. The only downside is there is no wireless charging but you can just attach a small thingamajig to the back of the phone and the USB port. Voila! Wireless charging .I am pleased with this purchase so far :D ... show more

United States buyer here. I was looking for a Samsung Galaxy phone to replace my outdated Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (that was my most favorite Samsung and Android smartphone ever) and specifically looked for the FM radio feature. I looked into this particular budget phone A25 5G SM-A256E/DSN since I am aware every flagship S and the discontinued Note lines after the 9 would pretty much no longer prioritize the FM receiver chip hardware let along a build-in tuner app. After browsing online customer reviews and YouTube videos, it was enough confirmation to go with it. It indeed has FM Radio which I'm ecstatic about, though one other surprise was that it turned out to be a 256GB phone instead of a 128GB phone which I paid for. I am more than happy and grateful in accepting the double storage! This phone will go great with my backup Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 which also has FM radio and the S Pen like my Note 9 had! I have had nothing but problems since I started using it. When I Smart Switched my iphone to this one, first of all, it didn’t receive everything properly. Secondly, when sending texts, it will not send pix or long messages, so basically mms is inoperable however I can send and rcv pix and links from some phones. I worked extensively with my carrier and it is not them, it is the phone. I am regretful I bought it. I didnt use it right away because when I transferred my old iphone over to this one, everything was so off and the phone wasnt working so I switched back to my iphone until I moved. Once I moved and switched, it has been a nightmare ever since. Every day discovering something new and odd that doesnt function properly that makes sense to no one. ... show more

My other beloved phone took a swim in the Jacuzzi, so wanted to replace it with something good. Didn't need anything fancy, just something basic that was an unlocked phone. It's bigger than the one I had before, which I like as far as screen size, and I just popped my sim card in it & set it up. I also added a SD card as like to store music & photos on that. Battery life is really good, just don't use the dynamic picture option, as that will drain it super fast, but without it, I can play games for a long time before having to charge. It's a USB C connector for charging which I like & has a 3mm headphone jack as I still prefer to plug in my headphones. Overall a very good phone. ... show more
