  • Samsung does well
Samsung and Apple have been having this rivalry for who has the better phone for a while. Between the two devices the Samsung note 20 ultra has better features, better design and less lag at least when i was using it. One thing it lacks is i message. However, the phone is much more fun to use. Especially the s pen. Over the many years, the devices have improved. Although I love the note 20 ultra, the box was missing a very important accessory. This accessory was the akg headphones that were supposed to come in the box considering how expensive the phones are in the present. Missing this piece is really frustrating and samsung did not give me the headphones so now I have to purchase new ones. I also did not get the galaxy buds which would have been a great addition. Overall having experience with both the top 2 flagship, I prefer Samsung. The biometrics are flawed when turning the screen on and it won't turn on so I have to push the button on the side. The bottom only had one speaker grill and that is annoying as well. The hole in the top is also a defect that needs to be erased. The best parts of the Samsung note 20 ultra is the customizable features to the screen images and the s pen. The camera looks super premium and has very good quality. The front camera is also much better than previous models for selfies. I hope this helps. It gets tough to get used too if you owned an i phone. ... show more

  • Awesome phone!!!!!
Awesome phone! Haven't had a single problem with it. I have been using it for almost a year now. The camera is awesome. The hardware is insane. Every application I have used work smooth and super fast. The screen is beautiful super clear. Face recognition doesn't work for me. But it's not a big deal for me. There is no such thing as a perfect phone. The question is which glitches are you willing to put up with and which are you not. I have nothing but an awesome experience with this phone. Oh when I first unpackage my phone the top and bottom of the phone where you connect your charger and put in your sim card looked damage full of scratch. But if you look at it carefully is not damage is a protective plastic film. It hard to detect it at first glance but once you remove this plastic film the scratches goes away. ... show more

  • Buyer Beware! UPDATED May 26, 2021
Edited May 26, 2021: Updated Review: After having a new replacement handset (from Best Buy) Note 20 Ultra 128gb, Mystic Bronze for the last five months, I gotta say I love this phone! I've owned older gen Notes and now see all the improvements over the years. Too many cool things to say about this phone; I'm still learning new features, etc.! Also what I thought were scratches on the thin top and bottom of phone turned out to be protective plastic; meant to be discarded after purchase! Lol. Battery is fantastic! SD a amazing! Clear kickstand case is way to go for me. This will be your goto device for everything. Advise; learn the details to get the best performance. Although Macro photography could use some help on future Notes. Did I mention I love this phone? Nice price, but not as advertised. The handset couldn't be used with Verizon in the northeastern USA. And the bottom and top edges where scratched. I'm assuming it was produced in the factory that way. Too bad I can't get back all of the time I spent with this dud. ... show more

  • Great phone.
Coming from a pixel4 xl it took me a little bit longer to get used to this device. I did own the previous note for a month but didn't like it at all. This version is definitely better and the previous version of the note...enough that made the switch from pixel 4xl comfortable. I really hated the finger print sensor. Coming from pixel 3 with a super fast reliable sensor and pixel 4 with an an amazing accurate and fast facial recognition, the finger print sensor in this device was annoying. But after a month of use, I am kinda used to it. I don't even think about it but sometimes you need 2 or 3 tries before your finger is registered. On the plus... I can even login with gloves Camera is really good as well but my 108mp picture are pretty much same as my 12mp. I really don't see any difference between this camera and pixel 4. The 5x zoom is super useful ... show more

  • Lovely phone, exactly what I wished for BUT..😂 Lovely phone, exactly what I wished for BUT..😂
The phone is perfect, I love it a lot. But after 5 months the screen display turned off. I could hear it vibrate when turn off and hear activity on the phone but it would stay off a whole day. All I I to solve this is press vol up + turn off button and eventually it fixes the screen. This has happened twice already in less than a year. Also the "moisture detected " seemed to malfunction, I tried drying it all ways and nothing worked, it stayed a whole day detecting moisture/dust then I decided to do a factory reset and it fixed itself. Edit 1: I contacted Amazon for help and was told to send it to repair, I got it to ubreakifix and they told me It was not a screen issue but more more of a hardware/ motherboard thing, they told me to send it to Samsung directly for them to fix or to come back to Amazon, I came back go Amazon and they got me a replacement 🥰. So far I'm really happy with their actions and way of solving this issue, the replacement arrived 6 days earlier than expected and it took 9 days to arrive . I'm really happy with this and I hope this issue does not repeat or I'm gonna be so heart broken 😭. Edit 2: this is about a year after the replacement was sent, the phone fell of my mattress (2ft long) and cracked on the front screen right corner, I was pretty disappointed because samsung was prideful in announcing this new Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on this $1k+ phone, I don't know if they sent me a replacement that didn't have the glass, but it was really shocking to see it cracking from such a small drop when I've seen videos of people dropping it down stairs and be intact. This made me pretty upset but it is what it is. Clearly the replacement had a weaker screen than what they spoke off when selling the phone. ... show more

  • The best Phone that money can buy
The cameras, the S-pen, the AMOLED screen quality, the 120 Hz refresh rate, the 5G data connection, the build quality, etc. are all top notch. This phone will probably hold the crown for best Android phone for a good while, and it has key feature bumps that made me especially want this phone--namely the 5G and the 120 Hz screen. I would definitely recommend a solid case if you're planning to spend this much money on a phone. I bought a Spigen case which effectively reduces the camera bump on the back to allow the phone to sit flat on a desk. The IP68 rating means that it will be fine with water and dust, but drop protection is still a must. I saw a stat recently that something like 2/3 of people report incurring drop damage to their phone (for all phones not specifically this phone). Other thoughts: I think it's interesting that most middle class people can afford the best phone that you can possibly purchase for a product that is in your pocket, everyday, all the time. You can't say that about cars, houses, clothes, but you could definitely swing buying the best phone that money can buy once every 3-4 years if it's important enough to you. For me it is, and I'm very happy with this phone. Lastly: Google Pixel, 1+, Apple, etc. can only hope to match some of the features that this phone has to offer, but I highly doubt that they will exceed this phone's specs on yet to be release products. Just my opinion as a phone guy, but the best that they could hope to do is give you a better value on specific features. If you're somebody looking for the best value on a calling and texting machine, then this phone is not for you. This phone is for somebody that wants the best cameras, pocket computing power, & screen quality that money can buy you right now. ... show more

  • It's crazy fast and has great features!
I've always wanted a Samsung Note phone but never wanted to spend over a $1300 for a phone. Thanks to Prime Day I was able to snag this Note Ultra 5G for a little over $1000 and I'm glad I did because it is SUPER FAST! I upgraded from an LG G7 ThinQ and even though that phone was fast with only 6 GB of RAM, this one is amazingly fast with 12Gb of RAM. The scrolling is beautiful thanks to the 120hz refresh rate. I really like the fingerprint reader on the screen. It's super fast and accurate. The face recognition also works very well and allows for alternate "looks." The S Pen is my favorite because of the handwriting feature. Taking notes has never been easier! The text extraction feature is so helpful for copying and pasting text from images. The S pen is like a tiny magic wand! I love it. 🥰 I wasn't a fan of the edges of the screen because with gestures on, accidental touches were making the phone back out. However that was fixed with a phone case and now I'm happy. Update 02/14/21: This phone is so useful when it comes to work and college. Multitasking is smooth with the 12GB RAM so it never freezes or slows down. I work with Word and Excel and the apps available have full functionality allowing me to do all the things that I can do on a desktop. My favorite app is the Samsung Notes app, which allows me to import PDFs that I can mark up with the S Pen, making note taking easy. This phone is amazing! I will keep this phone until "the wheels fall off." 😃 ... show more

  • Skeptical on used "Very Good"
Color: Mystic White Size: 128GB Style: Note 20 Ultra 5G Pattern Name: Cell Phone
I purchased this after losing my previously brand new S20 FE. I could have waited for the S21 Ultra, but looking at the comparisons showed the Note 20 Ultra was the better bargain. I paid $912 U.S. dollars (specifically in white so I wouldn't lose it as easily) in early January when the S21 line was announced with a release date the next day. A new S21 Ultra made more sense brand new, combined with a package deal for the Tab S7+ direct from Samsung ($1,467 price tag). I stuck with the Note 20 Ultra feeling like Samsung was making more money off me than any company not named Mercedes (having paid $650 for the S20 FE). Not to dive into all the specs, but the S21 Ultra had the better camera but no expandable memory. The Tab S7+ had expandable memory up to 1TB but I wasn't sure it would be able to play back the highest quality video from the S21 Ultra, so I kept the Note 20 Ultra with a slight downgrade on the camera but 1TB of expandable memory. Also, Samsung has a fire sale on tablets so I got an S6 WiFi Only for $350 after trading in a Tab S2 for a credit of $80. I saved $200 but ultimately got the expandable memory I needed for family videos. The only downside of this purchase was the need to do 10 software updates. That made me skeptical and a little skiddish. Eventually it stopped doing them. Hopefully that's not a bad thing. The Fingerprint and Face Recognition work 90% of the time. Battery life is pretty awesome. ... show more
