First one I bought suddenly started typing on its own and acting up. Contacted the seller and they immediately offered a refund or replacement. Since I had made this phone my main number I opted to replace it and they let me hold on to it until the new phone came. They issued a USPS return label and all I had to do was put the phone and accessories in the original box, tape the label on, and put it in the mailbox. So far the second (a couple/few weeks) is working fine - it did have one weird issue but I think it was due to not having the charger cord in all the way or something. I also have an a42. It appears the a52 gets better reception (I think there was a revision in the antenna design between 42 and 52). I don't like some of the software differences (personal opinion) but maybe in later updates Android will switch some things around. I always buy the refurbished phones. Why spend hundreds/thousands. I don't spend my life on my phone. Ratings: Phone - Seems to work as expected. Seller - Exceptional. Stood behind the sale and worked with me to take care of things. Can't ask for much more than that. Any seller will eventually have an issue with some product - a good seller works with the customer to solve it.

Updated for Battery 1 Capacity - It appears to have come with about 95% of new A52 5G battery capacity. 2 Charging - Using the charging brick and cable that came in the box it takes about an hour to charge from 25% to 85%. Using the Samung 4.0 battery saving feature I have the phone set at 85% maximum charge Note: I have the cable plugged into a UPS and not directly into the electrical outlet in the wall. Charging might be faster if charging directly from an electrical outlet. 3 Discharging - Maybe six or so hours of battery with continous video and audio streaming. A full day's use of mixed use depending on how many hours you actually use apps on your phone. Updating apps especially if you have a lot of them in addition to the Google and Samsung apps that come with the phone could use up to 5% of your battery charge during a single update session if you don't update daily. Google app updates are big battery users. Overall the battery is okay. Not great and not awful especially if you take the time to optimize your phone using Samsung's optimization features including Sleep and Deep Sleep. I don't know how much the use of the phone app drains the phone as I am not a big phone talker so no point in checking. On a personal note. I am not a big talker nor do I stream video or audio from my phone though I keep the phone on 24/7. I am getting several days of use from a single charge to 85% ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I received the phone on Saturday three days ahead of schedule. Also received the case on Saturday, one day ahead of schdule. It was clear from the box the A52 5G came in that it was a renewed phone. I didn't see any scratches on the display. Since I keep the phone is a case like I have all my phones I didn't bother looking for scratches or marks on the back, The seller has a 98% rating on Amazon Anyway. I used Samsung's switch app to move all my stuff from my Tab A7 to the A52 5G. It took a while, a little over an hour. Not all the apps moved over so I manually added the few that didn't This morning the phone received Android 12 along with Samsung UI 4.0. A definite improvement over Android 11 and UI 3.1. One of the new features of UI 4.0 under Settings is a hardware test app. Since the phione is renewed I was glad to see that. I used it to check out all the hardware componentsm except facial recognition, which I am not using at the moment and they all checked out fine. Interesting, that all the Samsung apps on the phone udated from the Galaxy Store after 12.0 x 4.0 were completely installed. Now for a few comments about the A52 5G So far no problem with my ISP accepting the phone. Just switched the sim card and also the SSD card from my A12. Both the phone and the card worked fine right after intalling them in the A52 5G. Not overwhelmingly fast or slow. A nice speed for what I use a phone for. I am not a gamer so I can't comment on that. The display while not great in the bright sun is more than readable outdoors in the bight sun. The adaptive display feature works fine and doesn't dim the display too much in the dark. The audio without headphones or a bluetooth speaker while not the quality you get with those is loud enough without them I can't comment on the battery life at this time since I just got the phone along with an included fast charger brick and cable. Charged it when I got it and again during the update to 12.0 x 4.0, So in the less than three days that I have had the phone it has done heavy work on two of those days which obviously affects the battery drainage. As far as the in display fingerprint scanner goes. I knew before hand that it has gotten a lot of unfavorable reviews. I am using it regulary even to open apps. To wake the phone tap once to bring up the location of the scanner, then place your finger on that spot. It works fine though it is a bitt slow. You have to hold your finger on the scanner for a couple of seconds before it opens up whatever. I expect the battery will be fine since the phone is less than a year old and how many charges can one do in less than a year? As the phones sytems softwarew learns and tunes itself and with some tweaks I imagine the battery life will be more than good enough. One last thing. The A52 5G though it has the same display size 6.5" as the A12 is lighter and narrower than the A12. I have small hands and it is a comfortable fit. I can't speak about one haned use since I have never used only one hand on any of my phones. Hold the phone tight and secure from dropping it with my left and and operate it with my right hand.

I wanted it to work so bad the screen is so stunning with vivid mode on but since I got it which was from 8 a.m til now it’s 5:37 pm now, it’s BEEN charging and is sadly still on 7% I can’t keep it. And it’s not my charger I tried my grandpas, my other one and the original one in the box. The item moved from 2 stars to 4, because even though there was initially problems with me charging, most chargers are faulty still, but the computer turbo charger I have, it will charge the phone, so I just use that. I'm not sure if I'm going to return it still. It is a well-optimized phone, and it's running nicely. I just didn't appreciate that when I got the phone, the battery life was about 2 hours. I had to look up on Reddit how to extend the battery life, and I got 7 to 9 hours out of it, but I'm not sure if that's the company's fault, I don't think it is, but I've always liked phones with really long battery life, but because I can get around 7 to 9 hours depending on how I use the phone, aka mostly having to have the brightness at 10% at all times, and then I can stretch it. So overall not a bad buy. With consistent use the last about four hours and a half, five max It’s still a great phone but it never stayed alive past overnight no matter the percentage. Screen also breaks incredibly easy like it’s some kind of plastic. I had to return fortunately and unfortunately because the phone wasn’t all bad but it wasn’t good . If you don’t mind your phone dying around 5 hours n a nice vivid display this is for you . If you like battery go ahead and keep looking..

EXPANDABLE STORAGE AND 3.5MM JACK I slept on this phone the whole time I was shopping simply because I never liked Samsung's jank phones. But after scouring the market trying to find a phone that offered at least half the value they charged you for, I settled on the LG V60 (RIP LG phones), which wouldn't work on my network because of some bs proprietary technology (it seems like we're evolving backwards, innit?) It wasn't until I was going mad with rage at the consumer electronics market that I checked this phone out, and while I don't care for the UI, it's got all the hardware I need for an almost reasonable price. It basically cost the same as my G6 did, but comes with a better display and camera. Display is sweet, I like you can turn off 120hz to get more out of your battery, but I consistently run 120 with netflix, some social media-ing, and a fair amount of picture taking and the battery lasts me about a day and a half (I went to work with a full charge at 6am this morning, it's 11pm now and I've got 45% left with me having binged watched netflix for at least a few hours while browsing the web) Camera isn't top of the line, but it is pretty dang crispy. Focus is fast, you can quickly adjust WB, has a fair amount of shooting modes and image processing. My biggest quirk is, and this may just be my eyes, but depth seems a bit off at times, like the background and foreground blend a bit. Night shooting is pretty clean, and has better zoom than any phone I've owned, but don't expect magic from a quarter mile away haha video is a little shakey, I would've liked to have seen more stabilization, but I can deal with it. Comes with android 10 but you can download 11 off rip. One other thing I liked about this phone is there isn't a whole lot of bloatwear that you can't delete. Even most of Samsung's and Google's apps can be deleted, which is great because I don't want em haha Other noteworthy things: MicroSD up to 1tb IP68 rating-i actually already accidentally tested this at it was sweet, so save your rice for cooking, kids. Kinda hard to find a sweet case for it, there is no classic defender otterbox :( It's wide and tall, but offset by not being very deep. Two hander if you've got small hands though. Final thoughts: Samsung still sucks, and I'll forever miss LG phones, but the specs you get for the price are really unmatched for what's out there nowadays. I really don't understand why you'd buy a $1300 flagship that has the same display, a slightly better camera, and no expandable storage, no audio jack, no IP rating, and an equal or lesser battery. In my eyes, this is the only phone worth getting in 2021. If I hadn't found it, I'd have just gotten a talk and text phone for work and just chalked everything else because smart phones are becoming more and more of a ripoff each year, and this was a REALLY bad year for them. Price gouging, proprietary tech locking you up, consumers will be at the mercy of the industry until we reclaim our buying power and refuse to pay for overpriced garbage

This phone's GPS was nonfunctional on arrival; trying to navigate by it for a mere five minutes would have demonstrated to post-repair testers that it wasn't connecting to satellites. Within a month the screen also began randomly failing during use; it would lose both display and touch sensitivity, leaving it stuck on but unable to be used (which was fun when alarms went off and couldn't be deactivated). The only way to resolve the dead screen was to shut down and restart, which of course typically requires being able to use the screen. Fortunately, the battery life was also way below expectation for the model, so it was pretty quick to just wait out a low-power shutdown. Not a very "renewed" phone, all things considered.

So far so good with this phone which I have had for less than a month. I got it to replace my S7 that, even after falling in the river, still worked but the battery life was pretty much done for. Also I wanted a 5G. This phone is a bit larger but not by much. The battery life is very long, the camera works well, screen resolution and volume are very good. I don't do gaming or streaming at all. My phone is primarily for calls, texts, photos and searching the internet. I will eventually download audiobooks and music. There are still some things I am figuring out on it. With my old phone I could press the button at the bottom twice and get the camera. Haven't figured out how to do that with this phone yet. The one thing that annoys me is taking screen shots. I find it difficult to press those two small buttons on the side at exactly the same time. I also think it is ridiculous that the charging port on the phones are changed. Now I have perfectly good chargers from the S7 that I can no longer use. This is wasteful across all phone and tablet manufacturers. If you don't want to spend a lot of money but want a reliable phone I recommend this one.

Had my first A52 for about 4 years until the display screen had to be replaced in 2024 due to it going black. This phone was exactly what I was looking for in the ease of use, ergonomically comfortable and it has a 3.5nm jack because I am not someone who had gotten used to Bluetooth in my ears all day. So I paid what was necessary to replace the screen. I ended up purchasing another A52 from this same seller because my screen went black yet again so I didnt want to be without a phone with the chances that it was this time irreparable. I didnt end up using or connecting the new phone because the screen/ display was again able to get replaced. Hopefully it lasts a bit longer. I had a lot of data that wasnt backed up on the broken phone, so I am now using my original phone again. The phone came quickly and the seller communicates well. And I would purchase from them again if needed. Im not sure if the display screen going black due to faulty components is an issue with the A52's but for me, this phone works well for me when its in optimal functioning order. Thank you

This is what I bought to replace my Huawei Honor 5, which lasted me about 4 years and cost half as much as this Samsung. First off, I'm a Gen X er and am quite disdainful of most "tech". I'll never use the finger print reader or the facial recognition or download more than 6 apps tops. I find it needlessly complicated. It's also quite a large phone. The phone is fast which I attribute to the 5G. Fast loading internet pages and very good reception. The phone calls are also crystal clear. So those are the two of the things that matter the most to me. The third important thing I use the phone for is as an internet hotspot and this is where it really p#$@%'s me off. It disconnects about every 10 minutes. I think it's trying to save its battery but it is really frustrating and I take 1 and a half stars off for that. The speed of the hotspot is also quite a bit slower than my old Huawei. This brings me to the battery life. As much as it's hyped, it isn't even as good as my old Huawei at the end of it's life span. It'll last me no more than a single day of standard web, text and phone calls. I guess that's why it has the fast charging setup which can go from 0 to full in about 2hours. The camera is very complicated and not intutitive. The settings remind me of an old 1990's SLR. Now that's not a bad thing and allows quite a bit of creativity, at least theoretically. Still, it is not as good as a Huawei but better than an I-Phone. I do like that it has it's own Samsung browser so I don't have to depend on spying Google. Finally one nuisance is that it insists on vibrating every time a text arrives. Yes, yes, I've turned all the vibration off but it still does it (I'm hoping I'll be able to stop the vibrating if I search for a fix. Again though, not a very intuitive phone.) So I spent $500 and If I were to do it again, I'd spend a little more to remain with a Huawei. It does seem to hold up to being kicked off the counter on to the hardwood floor by the cats multiple times, so, it is a bit rugged, which is a must for me as I am a 220 pound gorilla.
