When I first saw this luggage set, I was concerned about the bright orange color, but it is definitely growing on me in a very positive way. I haven't used it on an airplane yet, but I've flown enough to know that this color will stand out among all the black suitcases, so it'll be easy for me to identify mine! Plus this Copper Orange is very similar to "burnt orange," a popular automotive paint color, so they must know trends! I've gone on 2 short local trips, so I haven't had the opportunity to pack the large one yet, but I have packed the smaller one twice, so I decided to do the review on my experience instead of waiting another month. The inside of both suitcases are the same. It is very basic, which is perfect. The top has a zipper compartment, and the bottom has a strap closure. If I needed items separated, I can use cubes, but because this is only a 2-night trip, it didn't need to be so organized. To describe the size and how much stuff one can put in this suitcase, all I have to say is that I brought my own towel and sheets, AND it still fit my clothes, PJs, sandals, and toiletries! Most people won't bring those extras, so you can put so much more instead of my queen sheets! Assuming your partner also packs pretty light, this small suitcase should be able to work for two people for 2-3 nights. The suitcases, when empty, are pretty lightweight, giving you the opportunity to fill it. I've already packed the smaller one, so I can't weigh it, but the larger one weighs 8 lbs empty. The wheels and the telescoping handle work very well; it's easy on my arms to move it around. It looks well-made and sturdy, although I won't be able to test its durability until I fly with it in October. You can expand it, and it has its own lock (code). The only thing I didn't like is that it didn't have a handle at the bottom where the wheels are. This is a convenience, where if you've had it before, is missed when it's not there. It's easier to heave overhead, in and out of cars, and off the baggage carousel. It's a little pricey at $320 for the set of 2, but you are getting Samsonite quality, and they are hard-sided bags.

The one thing i like about this set is that it is extremely lightweight. The smallest one I am able to lift empty with one finger. The other two are little heavier but still light and durable. The handles extend out to make it easy to move the luggage around. It can be pulled or pushed. Although push would be the best for heavier bags. There is a default password of just being 000. You can easily change it just take a pen or needle and slide the device to "set" and you can set your password to whatever you wish it to be but you do need the current password set first before you can change it. This does look like one of those locks that TSA has that can open this bag. All three have their own locks and compartments to separate hour luggage. The locks can be opened but sliding the latch. Back to the inside of the bag has plenty of space. The outer shell is easy fo get noticeably scratched uo but it is pretty protective. If you were to press it against something or run into something, your bag is pretty safe. Inside has small compartments while the bigger part has two compartments for your clothes and such. The inner color is great and it works for this bag. The wheels do not squeak or anything so you are able to move the bag around easily. The bags can support a good amount of weight. I am able to take this on the go. Each bag is smaller than my original bag that i can tell but the smallest bag can go into the overhead compartment. The zipper is tough but I still do not recommend your over stuff you bag although you can expand the bag a little bit. The bags work great for weekend trips to several week trips. They can actually be fitted into each other to make it easy to store when not in use. I usually like to have these for any trip. I can pack more as it is light and has plenty of space. Overall these bags are not bad. They are very secure so you do not have to worry about someone easily accessing your bag. You can actually check it in and TSA would be able to open and inspect it if needed. It has plenty of space inside (although i recommend rolling up your clothes for better space). They ard a little smaller than other bags when I compare them which is odd. It does expand a little bit but it is not as tall.

This is my first Samsonite (fancy!) but I can already see why people stick by this brand. I went with the 28 in Checked-Large (black) and my very very first impression was "Wow! The box is so lightweight!!" and I'm not going to lie, that made me wonder how durable the luggage would be getting slung around airports over and over. But, no worries - soon as I opened the box I noticed that while it weighed practically nothing, the hard, shell material was sturdy and I could tell it was well made. My concerns about scratching and damage were subdued as the material also gives durable. I went with black so I am not too too concerned with dirt and scuffs but its something I will definitely keep my eye on. I see the product has a 10 year limited warranty which was unexpected. As for features - externally, there is a TSA approved lock, handle on side (and top), expandable zipper and spinny wheels! . The handle on top extends/retracts and feels very sturdy. Its also seems long enough for just about anyone and to fit travel bags. Re the lock, I do not recall seeing instructions for how to set the code but they are possible on the tag. Will confirm when I return home and update the review if needed. Internally, one side has a dual zipper flap and the other has a criss-cross strap to really keep clothes in place. As for the exact size and weight, the dimensions are explicitly spelled out on the tag (pic included). The bag I purchased is what one would use as a checked bag - def not sized for carryon. I already have a matching set and decided to go with black here as not to clash with what I already have. This quality piece will enhance my existing set when I have long/extended travel planned and need to pack all the things. At the end of the year I have a 2 week cruise planned and know that 2 checked bags are in my future - really looking forward to bringing this beauty along. I know Samsonite has an impeccable reputation but 200$ for one bag is A LOT for me - someone who has always purchased luggage from big box retailers, with about half the cost. Right now I would say I am skeptical but hopeful the product is worth it. The fact that it has an extensive warranty is comforting. Based on reputation alone, I feel confident in this order and recommending.

I have really only ever used Samsonite luggage for my entire traveling life and I can say that I got exactly what I am used to with Samsonite - quality luggage! I have been in need of a new set for travel since I'm still using my first ever luggage set and the handle had broken off of my old one, which made it a huge pain to lift into cars or out of baggage claim. With that being said, you best believe I tested the handles as soon as I got them! After filling up the large one with a few dumbbells I had in my office to simulate a heavily packed trip, I had no problem holding the luggage by the handle and they felt really secure, so hopefully TSA can be a little nicer with this set and it'll hold up! The inside has the usual zipper portion that you can zip up that I use for smaller articles of clothing and accessories. The other side has a good buckle that you can use for keeping larger items like jeans or jackets in place while you zip up the luggage. The outside is the hard-shell material that you would expect from this type of luggage set, and it feels like it will be durable and hold up to all the scratches and bumps between stopping at multiple airports. The color is so nice... the shade of navy blue is perfect for me as a guy that doesn't want black or grey everything. The wheels truly do have no issues spinning and keeping your rolling to your next terminal. They even work fine on my high pile carpet! The expansion zipper works well and is always a great option for when you come back with just a few more items than when you left with. The telescopic handle is super smooth and feels really well made - out of lightweight metal. Overall, you really can't go wrong with this set as long as you don't need a giant suitcase. This set will cover 90% of people's needs for trips I would imagine.

Samsonite has a strong reputation for luggage, and this carry-on lives up to it. The overall quality is excellent, from the durable hardshell to the smooth-operating zippers and sturdy handles. Everything feels well designed and built to withstand regular travel. The standout feature for me is the wheel system. The spinner wheels roll effortlessly, are surprisingly quiet, and make navigating airports much easier. Combined with the telescoping handle, the suitcase is comfortable to maneuver whether pulling it behind you or pushing it alongside you. The hard shell feels durable without being overly heavy, and I appreciate the textured finish that should help hide the inevitable scuffs that come with travel. Inside, the layout is well organized with separate compartments, tie-down straps, and zippered dividers. One detail I particularly liked is that the interior liners have zippered access. This makes cleaning much easier and also allows access behind the liner if TSA ever needs to inspect the suitcase without damaging it. It's a thoughtful feature that many people may never notice until they need it. The TSA lock operates smoothly, and the zippers feel solid and secure. I also appreciate the fixed carry handles in addition to the telescoping handle, making it easy to lift the suitcase into an overhead bin or into a vehicle. My only real criticism is the expansion zipper. While it's nice to have the option, the additional inch of expansion doesn't seem to add much usable packing space. I think it would be more useful if it expanded by three or four inches, or I'd rather see the feature omitted altogether. Overall, this is a well-built carry-on with excellent rolling performance, thoughtful interior features, and the quality I'd expect from Samsonite. Aside from the limited usefulness of the expansion feature, I have very few complaints and would recommend it.

I got this Samsonite 20-inch hard-sided carry-on for a recent trip, and it exceeded my expectations. It's surprisingly lightweight, which made it much easier to lift into the overhead bin, yet it still feels sturdy enough to handle the bumps and rough treatment that come with air travel. The spinner wheels are incredibly smooth and glide effortlessly through airports, even when the suitcase is fully packed. The telescoping handle feels solid and comfortable, and I never had to fight with it while rushing to my gate. Inside, there's plenty of room for a long weekend or short business trip. I really liked the divided compartments and compression straps because they kept everything organized and prevented my clothes from shifting around during travel. After multiple flights, the shell has only picked up a few minor scuffs, which is to be expected, but it's held up very well overall. Between the quality, durability, and ease of use, I can definitely see why Samsonite has such a good reputation. If you're looking for a reliable carry-on that's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and built to last, this is an excellent choice. I'd absolutely buy it again.

I ordered this Samsonite carry-on on June 7 and finally received it on July 15. The wait was definitely longer than I expected, but now that it's here, I can say it was worth it. I'll be putting it to use right away on an international trip next week. The suitcase is exactly what I expect from the Samsonite name. It's lightweight but feels very sturdy and well made. The hard shell has a quality feel to it, and the navy blue color looks great. I also think the darker color will do a better job of hiding the inevitable scratches and scuffs that come with travel. I really like the built-in TSA-approved lock on the side, and the expandable zipper is a nice feature for those times when you need a little extra packing space. The 360-degree spinner wheels roll smoothly, and the telescopic handle extends and retracts without any wobble. For anyone wondering about the size, it measures about 21 inches from the bottom of the wheels to the top of the handle housing, making it suitable as a carry-on for most airlines. The inside is well laid out, and the right-side compartment measures about 14 inches across, providing plenty of room for clothing and travel essentials. The only downside in my experience was the shipping time, which took over a month. Other than that, I have no complaints about the suitcase itself. Overall, this is a stylish, lightweight, and durable carry-on that feels built to last. I'm looking forward to taking it on many trips, and based on my first impressions, I think it will serve me well for years to come.
