This is a high quality suitcase, and it comes with me on every trip I take. My one complaint is that I wish it had a little isolated zipper pocket somewhere inside, so you could keep a handful of loose items contained and easily accessible when you pop the bag open. Each half of this bag has its own zipper flap that keeps your belongings from falling out when you unzip the bag itself, which is a very nice feature, but those are literally the only two compartments this bag has. It seems like there was an opportunity to sew a zippered mesh pocket into one of these internal flaps, or into the bag liner. I have a larger Samsonite suitcase that has both of these extra pockets, and they're very nifty. Anyway, it's a decent carry on. I mostly just like that it matches my larger bag, and think it could learn a few design lessons from it.

Back in 1994, Jim Carrey said the line, Samsonite… I was way off. I was 9 years old when that movie came out. I thought when I grow up I’m gonna get me a Samsonite. 2012 was when I started to travel on the regular, and I got a soft side Samsonite carry on that year, and it has endured dozens of trips domestically and internationally for the last 12 years. It’s hold up very well, and still looks like it can go another decade. But the style is I guess you can say dated. As it only has 2 wheels. I’ve noticed these last few trips that almost every person traveling has the hard side carry on with the 4 wheel spinner. So I knew I needed a change. In comes this Samsonite Evolve. Stylish, trendy, durable is just a few words I can say. The wheels are smooth and give great feedback when rolling. The inside has 2 meshed zippered sections, but no strap to hold down your load, and no extra pockets whatsoever. I guess you can say it’s on the basic side. But its a Samsonite its gonna last you more than a decade if you handle it with care.
