I've already used this a ton lugging things around NYC on subway, up and down stairs, laundry to and fro, etc etc. Prob put a couple years worth of use on it in a month. It's holding its own perfectly so far, like the 'Sphere' higher end /pro spinner I'd bought 10 years ago. Still quality, def superior to the cheap 'Samsonites' one can buy at TJ or HomeGoods. Those are fine for checked bags IMHO, but if u can afford it, get this for cruising around big airports etc. ... show more

I have two previous Samsonite bags that are the exact model but older versions and I was comparing the three. This model definitely has gotten cheaper. Smaller compartments on the inside and and less. They took out one from the sides and the both off of the little triangle pieces that snap together to hold your stuff down. Material feels a little less rigid and the handle’s definitely got less sturdy. Bags look good but they keep sliding down this hill of cheaper materials and charging more. ... show more

I bought this bag because the Samsonite I have owned for many years was temporarily not available on Amazon. My old bag is Samsonite Silhouette XV 21 was here: https://www.amazon.com/Samsonite-Silhouette-Softside-Spinner-Black/dp/B01MQG7G0J/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8. The product dimensions stated on the Amazon site are very similar (21x15x8.5 for my old bag, 21x15x8 for my new bag). But the new bag is MUCH smaller: a full 2" shorter, 2" narrower and ~1-1.5" thinner. It makes a big difference. Attempting to return now, will increase rating from 1 star if I am successful. ... show more
