I was overdue for new luggage, and after having an older soft-sided Samsonite set for 8 years, I decided to upgrade to the Samsonite Evolve SE Hardside set. I found it on sale, and it has been perfect since day one! The set comes with three different sizes, locks on each bag, and a mesh separator that makes organizing your stuff much easier. Pair it with packing cubes; you're all set for any trip! The 360-degree spinning wheels are a game-changer, making it effortless to navigate through airports. I travel a lot for work and family trips, and we efficiently use all three suitcases. After six months of heavy use, they’ve held up great—just a few scuffs here and there, but nothing has broken, and they still look fantastic. They're reliable, durable, and definitely worth the money!

I purchased this luggage set during the October Prime Day sale at a significant discount. The larger suitcase is very spacious and can hold an impressive amount—over 20 pairs of jeans along with 3 coats and 5 hoodies. The smaller suitcase is an ideal size for a week-long business trip. While some bags marketed as “carry-on” end up being oversized at the airport, this one truly meets carry-on requirements. I had no issues bringing it on board with Alaska and United, and I expect it will be acceptable with most other airlines as well. Regarding scratch resistance, it is not completely scratch-proof when checked, but no hard-shell luggage truly is unless carried on. For me, its level of durability is perfectly acceptable. Both suitcases are easy to use once the lock is set for the first time. I do not prioritize aesthetics as long as the luggage performs well, and in that respect, I appreciate the simple and functional design. The only drawback is that the smaller suitcase does not include a built-in lock. Although it is designed for carry-on use, there may be occasions when it needs to be checked, in which case additional security would be beneficial. I purchased a separate lock to address this. It would be an improvement if Samsonite included a lock on the smaller suitcase as well.

Bought Samsonite luggage because I think of high quality. Unfortunately, the morning of our trip when I zipped up the carryon, the zipper split! No matter what I tried I couldn’t get it corrected. Bought the same set for our son and the same thing happened to his suitcase the next day on our trip. Samsonite says their luggage goes through rigorous quality testing. In don’t believe it! I’ve had luggage from JC Penny and never had a problem. I wanted to try the hard side for my next set. Before purchasing I read a review about the zipper splitting but thought it was probably a rare thing. Because the same thing happened to me on two different sets I can’t recommend purchasing Samsonite.
