I wanted this product because I needed a back pack that I could use to look professional (teaching undergrads). I wanted a back pack, not a handbag or work tote, because I bike to campus. If you want to put a lot of things in this bag, it’s not for you. I mean smaller things like hand cream and lip balms etc. is fine! But I find that the main pocket fills my water bottle (700ml), my wallet, my chargers, my laptop, and that’s pretty much it. There’s some more space I could fill in the top but in terms of width, that’s it — and you don’t want to over stuff because that could mess with the structure of the bag! I don’t know if I would use it for traveling because I’m the type of person who wants to travel with lots of snacks and lots of water especially for long flights. But, this is great for what I use it for — going to school and teaching. I find that it’s very sturdy and I’ve been using it for a month but no rips or tears yet! And I don’t think there will be. I bought it because I’m familiar with the Samsonite bag and other leather bags I was looking at had flimsy thin straps but these are thick, have mesh lining like a regular back pack, and are sturdy. One final note is that this is a slim and small back pack. I was a little worried when I first got it that it might look like I was an adult wearing a kids back pack. I think it works for me (and I might have just been used to wearing big back packs), but I would suggest taking the measurements into consideration for aesthetics. ... show more

First off, I don't write reviews often. So for me to jump on here means I like this backpack. As a young corporate professional, I was looking for a modern high end backpack that can give me the look I was going for while still providing the storage I need. I'm typically very frugal with my spending but was willing to invest in, what looked like a backpack that checked all my boxes. Modern look, light brown, quality leather, slim, comfort, and can protect my laptop while traveling. I took a chance on this bag and I was so happy I did. I'm traveling more now for work and the bag pairs well with both business casual clothing and suits. I'm also a guy that likes to carry my gear. A hefty 100w power bank, a 14.4 inch Microsoft Surface Studio or 13 inch MacBook pro, a bag of power cables, and other miscellaneous items. Although it can be a bit tight on space, it has a great layout of pockets and compartments for everything you will need. And this bag, together with a great sized carry-on, that strap on the back of the bag makes traveling enjoyable. No more having to carry a heavy bag on my back just to get to the plane. Straps are comfortable and easy on the shoulders. The multiple compartments allow the weight of the items to be distributed evenly so the backpack isn’t just weighing down on your back. Literally a compartment for everything. I’m no longer searching for one item and getting frustrating when I can’t find it because everything has a home in this backpack.
