Took this case on a trip to Europe for a couple of weeks, had total of 6 flights, 2 trains, 2-3 buses. The shell withheld pretty well, expected some scratches, so that's ok, and it actually scratches less than i expected. I was using a lot of public transport like 'Hotel -> Train Station 10min walk --> Airport another 10min walk' and after doing it a few times noticed that the pair of wheels on the long handle side are already noticeably wearing (and unevenly). I think couple of years of twice-a-year travel like that will require replacing a pair. Overall happy with a purchase at $135. Simple organization on the inside, nothing too excessive, nothing is amiss. A simple hint for prolonging the zipper life. When you close the lid and start zipping the case close, before moving both zippers over the 2 corners onto the long side (where the tsa lock is located), flip the case upright because when it's on its side, the two lids may be shifted in relation to one another and can cause the zipper to misalign. Hubby and I took a 2 week road trip from Colorado to the Michigan U.P. and this suitcase fit all of our clothes. We aren't tiny people. We also packed 2 pairs of shoes/sandals each. It's lightweight, moves great and I bought the pretty blue-ish one. You won't be sorry!

The wheel broke on my old medium suitcase but these wheels are well built and should last a long time. The suitcase has good balance in the upright position as my old suitcase, which was soft-sided would flop over sometimes when heavily packed to protect certain more fragile items.
