I have quite a bit of experience with glow in the dark products. I even 3D print GITD things in PLA plastic. This cable is sturdy and just flexible enough to coil nicely when not in use. Green glow in the dark is always the best choice as a rule as it glows much brighter then blue, yellow, orange, or red. Blue is typically the 2nd best, but it's a distant second and in some cases another color will work better then blue. Your milage will vary depending on your setup. Get a black light as when the cable is under a black light then it really comes to life - It's a must have as without you will not experience what this cable is all about. That is the secret. With all that said, I love fender cables, they are not as good as Mogami but a lot less expense and still very high quality. If GITD isn't that important to you, then look at the Fender Pro Tweed cable with the right angle on one end as I use those and they are excellent as well. ... show more

I did not care if it glows or not, I bought it because the thing is thick, and while not soft it also is not rigid. It is very easy to wind up into a 1 foot loop, but not much tighter because it is a very thick outer glow layer. I expect it to last forever even if I just stomp on it all day. I really liked the length. It was perfect to fit between the pedals. I think that a 6'' cable would be too short to do this. Would definitely recommend for a patch cable.

Bought the "orange" one in hopes of having at least a faint orange colored glow on stage. Instead I got this cable that will glow very pale green (will add pictures later) for about 10 min after being charged in direct sunlight for an hour... Not what I was expecting from the description. Other reviews seemed to show the right colors... Did they change the formulation by the time I ordered or did I get a bad batch? Either way, it's a good cable that does not glow well at all, and not at all in the color described. If on sale, pick one up as a spare cable. Looking for an orange glow?
