I installed by hand pushing them onto the ground right up against our wooden privacy fence and then used a rubber mallet to drive them in farther. The deeper you put them, the sturdier they are. We have an underground stubborn dog fence as well as a vinyl fence and then we bought this to try and create more of a barrier and nothing works. Sure it is great for small dogs or dogs that don't dig.

Decorative fence panels. Patio landscape. The idea is to keep pets or wild animals out. They are quite literally to short. It will help keep the diggers from digging down but a rabbit can hop right in. You'll need back up fencing.

Comparing this brand to 2 others I have, it’s comfortably in the middle. It’s strong and not easy to bend. I use it as a barrier to prevent critters from getting under the concrete slab on my back entrance. Good gauge of metal. Easy to install (I use a rubber mallet).
