I had been eyeing these boots for quite some time and was very excited to buy them. Unfortunately these are. It as I expected. First thing the color is a lot different than what appears in the photo. It’s not really warm. Secondly, it’s not at all wide. After reading the reviews I ordered 10W although I usually wear 10 but this boot is still snug. Wearing thick socks would be a problem with these. Also the calf was a little snug and i’m not a wide-calf person. The leather was definitely plush and very soft but stitching was bad. All in all for the price point of $225 I don’t think it’s worth it. The quality was just ok, and needless to say I’ve had better shoes from Sam Edelman. These will be going back and my hunt for a cognac color boots will continue unfortunately.

I have a pair of these boots in beige and I really like them. I bought a size eight, my regular size. Unfortunately I have a wide calf. No other boot seems to fit me since they are narrow at the top and they don't zip close, these do. I bought an 8 and they fit me perfectly.

I bought this pair and a pair of the black variety together. The black ones arrived nearly 3 weeks in advance of this brown pair, so please note my experiences noted here are in relation to the black variety; as I returned this brown pair shortly after receiving for a refund. In short, wide is NOT wide in this brand, and it is obvious it's the company's problem for not sizing wides correctly, and not you, the consumer. I typically wear a 8W in most brands, such as Brooks, Aerosoles, Dansko with zero problems and with minimal break-in time. Based off of the reviews, I got a 8.5W REGULAR CALF in these and wore them for about a week to give them some time to break in. Unfortunately there was no stretch, and too much rubbing for my already wide feet. Even my quite thin, but muscular calves were tight in these boots and I usually have zero issues with calf-diameter in knee-high boots. I went to exchange the black pair for a 9W WIDE CALF. Please note that, if you, like myself, are hopeful that the WIDE CALF version also has a wider foot base, you'll be woefully wrong. The wide calf is just that -- wider only at the calf. It doesn't mean that the foot base is any wider. As I noted at the start, this brand would not know a wide foot if the foot kicked them in the shin. Thankfully exchanging a 9W WIDE CALF has mostly worked out, as the calves are definitely wider, but there are the occasional days where I have swelling from PMS and then they are back to being tight in the toe-box for the day. I'm giving this product (vs the brown version) an extra star for having the black in the 9W WIDE CALF which the brown version did not. But really this isn't rocket science to design a WIDER foot for a boot and it seems like this company hasn't figured that out yet. If I was going to start fresh, I'd probably order a 9.5W WIDE CALF but honestly, I'd probably look at Rockport since their knee high wide boots had a lot of good reviews.

Love the boot. I bought the 8.5W and it is narrow. Maybe the 9W would be a little wider hit none were available. I usually wear a 8.5 regular width or 9 reg. Depending on the cut of the boot. Otherwise it is a very nice boot. Looks great. I put shoe tree stretchers in. They are leather boots so that should do the trick.

These feel like good quality boots. The leather is very soft and feels really nice. The fit of the calves is really strange. I have larger calves and sometimes struggle to find boots that fit over them. These have a huge gap in the calves. I’m so glad I didn’t order the wide calf! The toe box and across the ball of my foot are really tight, so if you’re on the fence about ordering wide foot width, you probably should. So the calves are super wide and the foot bed is pretty narrow. These felt ok when I tried them on the day my order was delivered, but I waited over a month before I actually wore them out of the house. The very first time, the snap on the back of the left calf fell apart. I can’t request a replacement because it’s past the return window. *shrug* I’ll have to glue it together or take it to a local cobbler to have them repaired.

These used to be my absolute favorite everyday-wear boots. I've lost about 45 pounds and the wide calf versions are just too big. So I tried the regular ones and unfortunately, they're way too tight. States it's a 15" circumference and I measured the widest area of my calves at 14" but uhhh they don't zip up comfortably. The price on these are also a lot higher (believe they were $190 before, now $225?) . Unfortunately will have to go another route. Great boots for wider calved ladies when you get the wide-calf version though.
