  • Versatile hiker or around town
Size: 12.5 Color: Monument/Ebony/Red Dahlia
Amazing comfort right out of the box. The pull lace is great as it has a unique start point down by the toe to increase lateral stability up front. And a real insole which is so rare these days. They are great on the trail or on pavement and lightweight. Sizing was correct, maybe a touch narrower than other shoes. ... show more

  • Great looking and confortable walking and hiking shoe.
Size: 9 Color: Black/Magnet/Quiet Shade
Awesome shoes with quick-lacing, breathability, quick drying, good grip sole, and good-looking. The downside is that they slip on some surfaces, like wet metal and some smooth wet concrete.

  • Narrow heel, wide toe box!
Size: 11.5 Color: Black/Magnet/Quiet Shade
I've been looking a long time for a shoe with a wide toe box and narrow enough heel for my foot, and this is the best I've found so far. The speed laces are cool, but I wish there was a way to skip the bottom eyelets. The lace is permamantly attached to the bottom, and a loop at the top. Cutting and retying them at the bottom, or replacing them with more standard laces is the only option for alternative lacing. Comfortable insole. I finally figured out the pocket for the laces' pull tab is at the top of the tounge and you push the tab UP into it, I'd thought it was down and there was no pocket on this model lol. I bought them hoping for the narrow heel wide toe, and breathability plus durability. My On Cloud mesh runners stretched for my wide toes, and had alternative lacing capabilities, but the sides ripped out from abrasion, and let my big toe hyperextend upwards too easilly. These Salomons have more support, and the sides are more protected, but don't breath quite as well, I can feel moisture building up just walking around at the mall. It's better when running, as the air movement penetrates the padding under the mesh a little better. A little too much padding for me, I was hoping to feel breeze lol. I had some under armour trail runners that had tough breathable mesh and without the padding and leather crossing strips for durability, but the heel was too wide and they discontinued them before I learned about alternative lacing to tighten the right parts. These are good for now, but I guess the hunt for perfection continues lol Minus one for steemy feet from too much padding at the toes maybe, it kinda interferes with the mesh a bit. Some people might like it for insulation in the winter, I just wear thicker socks or keep moving to stay warm. Less padding and tougher mesh would be nice. ... show more

  • A few changes... and still one of the best!
I've been wearing Salomons for around four years now and they are still amazing. A few tweaks in this new revision: they done away with the inside loop/elastic band that was part of the Sensi fit, the tie cap isn't as big nor does it seem to be as thick as before and the tread pattern and material are different. I'll touch on those points a bit then give MY overall opinion of this new version of the shoe. About the inner elastic loop... I always liked it, but I know quite a few people who wear this exact same shoe and have never been fans... toes catch on it, feels like it right around your foot, etc. To me personally it provided a great bit of support in conjunction with the lacing system. With the toe cap, it just seems like they wanted to save a little weight and have the front of the shoe to be not as bulky. It still provides a great level of protection and does exactly what the old version did, it's just a bit smaller now. And lastly, the tread pattern and material. The new pattern is just slightly different, therefore it doesn't really affect the foot feel inside the shoe, a good thing if your foot is acclimated to the shoe type already. The new material does a remarkably better job on wet surfaces than the last iterations. My experience is with polished concrete and shop floors, so take that in mind. Overall I'm really pleased with the new product. Some reviews bring up the idea that they seem more narrow than the last, but I didn't seem to notice. Of course due to packaging, they come slightly molded inward, but just after a few times wearing them, they feel exactly like slipping into the past 4 pairs that I've owned. ... show more

  • Do not buy these shoes!
Size: 10.5 Color: Black/Magnet/Quiet Shade
Dont buy these shoes. I just had order new ones, after these ones fell to pices. Bottom tread ripped off, threads fell a part and the sole is worn down. I wore them for work. I didn't even go hiking in them. These are low quality, and are the fastest I've ever had a pair of shoes break on me. 0 stars if I could. shoes. ... show more

  • Best shoes money can buy
Size: 11.5 Color: Black/Magnet/Quiet Shade
I've been wearing this model shoe for many years. It has evolved slightly & got even better. It's the only shoe I own but I have multiple colors. Blacks are for work. I get about a year out of them wearing them at work. They keep my feet alive.
