This full-size 24" carpenter's bubble level is compact enough to fit into most any regular toolbag. How is that possible, you ask? It's because it folds on two hinges that collapses the product into three parts, becoming a piece that's only 8" in total length! There's very little play in the tight, plastic hinges. Although they don't actually lock into place, there are internal detents in the hinges at 90, 180, & 270 degrees; so, it takes some effort to accidentally rotate the pieces and knock them out of alignment. Once the level is set straight –– at a 90 degree angle; or, at whatever other angle is desired –– it holds that position pretty well. There are even magnets that help hold it on steel surfaces; but, the magnets are not quite strong enough to support the full weight of the product and keep it from sliding down a vertical surface. If you flip the product over, the REVERSE side has an almost identical look (but using smaller diameter S/S rods that are placed in the same relative positions as the larger, ACTUAL magnets; but on the reverse side). They LOOK like the magnets from the opposite side, but actually AREN'T magnetic, at all! It's a bit confusing, until you get used to operating the product. It should be made clearer that only ONE SIDE is currently magnetized. It would be better to just get rid of those fake magnet button look-alikes from the other side, completely! Or, maybe it would just be easier if BOTH sides were magnetized? In either case, I'd give this product 5-stars, if it was upgraded just a tiny, little bit more. At the moment, in its current form, I'd probably rate it at 4-1/2 stars.

I am not a proficient DIY type but I do have a minimal tool set for the little things I do like hang curtains, build easy furniture, etc. I wanted a level for hanging pictures, etc. I love this one because it can be long if I need it to but I don't have to find a place to keep it. I like that you can use it while it's collapsed in a block - you don't need to unfold it to access the vertical, horitzontal, and diagonal levels. It unfolds easy enough but not so easy that you need to worry about it flopping around when it's unfolded. It's well-built - it can definitely be manhandled a bit.

I love that it's so compact. Reviews on others that I've seen have been not great. Once unfolded, it needs to remain completely straight, otherwise it defeats the purpose of being a level. This one, however, actually is super straight when unfolded. Great quality control. Excellent compact level you can throw in a bag. Super convenient to have one when you need it. Pray seems super reasonable as well.

I was hesitant about this because I wondered how the hinges might effect the ability for it to sit flat but that isn't an issue at all. It makes for a very easy and compact level that can me used in many different directions. I like it for a project I'm working on at the back of my property because it fits easily in my tool bucket when I carry it out there.

As a mainstream DIYer, I find that this level is a perfect solution to the problem of carrying a small and not very useful level in your tool bag or having to dig around to find the large level that is hiding somewhere after the last project. Since it is foldable, it can fit in any tool bag and has enough contact surface to be accurate. The ability to bend it at any angle and check if something is level is a fantastic feature. This is also my first level that has blue liquid, which makes it easier for me to see the bubble. I verified with my other levels that it is accurate and have already used it a lot since I received it. The only downside of this level that I have seen so far is that the magnets are not very strong and only on one side of the level. If strong magnets are a must-have feature for you, then you may need to look somewhere else. Overall, this is a great addition to my toolbox, and I am happy to now always have a good-sized level handy.

My husband is partners with a friend of his in their own construction business, so you can imagine how many levels they have and that he has at home. Out of all the levels they have, I have never seen him with a foldable level like this one. So, when I gave it to him he absolutely loved it. The total length of the level is 24in and it is foldable in three 8in. Sections. It is also magnetic! It seems to be made out of high quality materials and it is very accurate! My husband really likes this level and he uses it many times a day! This was a great purchase & my husband definitely recommends buying this foldable level!

I love this folding level if for nothing else than it can easily fit in my tool bag, unlike most 24" levels. But even better is the functionality, such as using it to accurately level and draw intersecting lines around a corner or using it to ensure that two items on opposite surfaces are level. It's easy to read and the bright color makes it easy to find in a crowded workshop. The magnets are another nice touch, as is the choice to use blue liquid instead of yellow - it really does seem to make a difference. All in all, this is a great addition to anyone's tool kit.

Headline pretty much says it all. This type of level is very handy. It's also nice to have something that takes up a small footprint and can be tossed into your tools without taking much space. Bonus points for the metallic orange paint job. Always a fan of tools being a color that catch your eye. They'll still hide in plain sight on you, but it makes it harder:)
