Once we got the measurement locked in, it literally took us 30 minutes to drill holes and attach/install all the cabinet hardware throughout the home. Before having this tool, I had made a template from cardboard and it helped but the Saker Tool is exact and durable. This was a great investment and it helped us get motivated to finish the remodel and updates in our home..!! Great for gifts too.... Everyone should have one..!!

This cabinet hardware jig is not very versatile and the holes are too small. They only fit a 1/8 inch drillbit and they need to fit a 3/16.

When the tiny box arrived, I was scared this would be a flimsy thin tool and waste of my time. Those fears left as the tool slide out of the box. Very precise and well machined fitting, solid thumb nuts, clean markings, and nothing flimsy or cheap looking. Once out of the package the guides mechanism (red part) turns 90 degrees and is slotted to fit the vertical guide (silver part) with very minimal play - extremely nice fit. The drill guides - two drill bits are included - are located in the center of thumb screws that on the back fit indents to fit 3” and 4” handles as well as other common sized drawer/cabinet handles. One minor issue is the measurement guide labels aren’t positioned center their representation, but you also don’t need to align the guides that way as you just need to get close enough for the indents to position the guide. It’s quick to set, and each time I tried the resulting spacing was center to center what I was trying to set. Usage is easy, set the drill guides to the width of the handle being installed. Next set the depth from top (for a drawer), left/right edge (for a door with vertical handle), or bottom edge (door with horizontal handle). While there is a gauge on the vertical guide (silver part), I found this easy to do by simply setting the tool on the drawer to or door edge, slide the drill guide to pencil marks on the work and tightening the thumb screw. Last before drilling, measure and mark the center of the drawer or in case of a door center the handle is to be edge of the door. The tools vertical guide has a center point (pictured) that you align to that center mark, and the jig is in position for drilling. I installed 14 drawers without a single handle incorrectly positioned or holes misaligned for the handle installed (due to a phone incident I lost those pictures). I aligned the jig, placed a scrape behind the back of the drawer to prevent tear out, and used a hand clamp to hold jig and scrape in place while drilling. After the first two drawers I may have spent more time actually opening the handle package and screwing in the screws than the actual setting the jig and drilling. Fantastic jig, suitable for the weekend warrior or professional installer.

This is a nice little jig. Once it is set up, it allows for holes to be drilled consistently, repeatedly, and quickly. If you have a number of holes to drill, this is a time saver. The jig itself is well made. It's durable and nicely machined. I recommend it.
